Next time you can try "Smart Control" too where you can launch different flight modes using gestures, and returning to follow (back or dolly track) in between! Cheers, Sarah from HOVERAir

I've seen the Hoverair X1 drone demonstrated on many KZbin channels, and based on that, I thought it was a indifferent gadget. After seeing, what pretty amazing results, you were capable of getting out of it, and how well it performed in your rather extreme test, I must say, I'm now very impressed. Great tests, great video 😎

I was glad to see you tie all the different modes into together and make a cinematic ending. Some people really need to see things tied together to full understand the level of value one gets out of this device. I just got mine this morning, and of course, the first thing I'm doing is "learning" and "gathering creative inspiration" from all the podcast producers out there like yourself. Thank you for showing off the HOVERAir X1, it is truly a great device!

That's a great video Steve. Most people looking for air /follow up shots on their vacations don't need more than the simple modes this mini drone offers. This is a completely new drone segment. So yes, please do a follow up video. How much noise does this little fellow produce, from how far can you hear it? I hope DJI will notice this missing product in their line-up and make one by themself - but with DJI 4k 10bit video quality. We're living in a great time now with all these new innovations for private video creation.

Cool video ! I noticed the X1 makes a high pitched annoying noise, i hope they fix this with the ProMax. Two questions: 1. Do crashes on trees affect the gimbal? It looks kind of exposed. 2. How fast can you charge one battery fully ,if you connect a PD powerbank to the hover charging hub ? 3. Does it detect well the hand gestures in low light or from a 5m distance ?

Nice editing for the final clip. One thing to note is that you have to get the app for this drone -- otherwise there is no way to retrieve the video captured on the drone. I have 5 DJI drones as well as the Hover Air X1 and I use the Hover Air more than my DJI drones. Primarily due to increased restrictions on drones in the US, but also because I do a lot of motorcycle trips and the portability and speed of getting this into the air makes it my "go to" flying camera on my moto trips.

A very positve review indeed. I will stay postive by saying that downloading and editing is very easier as well unlike many other units. I use PC and the clips appear clearly listed and numbered. I still use (don't laugh) Windows Movie Maker and transfer is simple. I edit my running films to about 3 minutes trying to include all the modes and add free to use music. A great unit. But seems to be gradually going up in price. Bought the Combo at less than £400 but seen now much higher.

This is the best review of this little drone that I have seen. Does it have any type of obstacle avoidance, or is it just the way you use and set it? It seems to do rather well between obstacles. Your editing is awesome as always.
@LearnOnlineVideo7 ай бұрын
Hey @Rob_Francis Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed this video. The HOVERAir X1 does not have obstacle avoidance but It can detect obstacles in its path, when it does it will simply stop moving or land. Even if it does crash though there is no damage (at least in my experience). I must have crashed it at least 20 times, usually when I crash a drone its gets expensive, either a properly breaks or I scratch a lens but this thing is much tougher.

Great video!! Does anyone know what kind of battery life this gets?
@LearnOnlineVideo7 ай бұрын
Hey @SavannaBanana205 Thanks! Each battery lasts around 11 minutes, and I have a total of 4, giving me 44 minutes of flight time. While 11 minutes might not seem like much for a battery, this isn't your traditional drone where you send it up for longer periods of time. With this drone, each shot takes around 60 seconds to capture. So, even with just 2 batteries, you should be able to get around 22 shots per shoot, which for most people should be enough. I'll be doing a follow-up video that covers anything I may have missed in this video, as there's still so much I'd like to test with this drone. If you have any requests, please let me know, and I'll be sure to include them! Thanks, Steve

Hi! I have a question, please. When in follow mode or dolly mode, how do I get the drone to fly back towards me and land safely on my hand?
@LearnOnlineVideo4 ай бұрын
When you hold your hand out, the drone will know that you want it to land so will fly towards you and land. You can also use gesture control to instruct the drone to land or perform different manoeuvres. For example, if you cross your arms above your head, this will signal the drone to land, or if you point to the right it will orbit to the right. Hope this helps.
