If people don’t really understand what changes mastering gives your music...it’s honestly a lot. Very important as well. Love how he works. Runs it through his console. Press few knobs and it’s done. Less is more when it comes to mastering. Things are done by small increments to get to where the song needs to be. 🎉👍

Would be more interesting to see him tackle a terrible mix, to see him actually do some work.

You can't fix a bad mix. Getting a good mix is the foundation for a good sounding track. You can make improvements but it's kind of like polishing a turd.

I don’t think he’s a mix engineer, if you want to see that you’d have to look at a mix engineer in the stu

Won 1st place multiple rap contests, younow and hotnewhiphop. Didnt have my first properly mixed and mastered song until 25..5 years away from the age that "artists dont get signed" aka 30, isnt the industry such a wonderful, magical place? Meanwhile, people starting their first startups in their 30's, going on sharktank with new inventions, just breaking out as comedians, photographers, switching careers. Music industry 30 years old = 90 years old. Wonderful

"Competitively loud" the phrase that justifies the fucking up of so many songs. But I don't blame the mastering engineer, sadly it's what the market demands.

The guy looks so calm because he’s practicing “active listening”, which is a MUST HAVE skill in mixing and mastering… With that said, he looks like Ned Flanders, about to ask Jesus for forgiveness on behalf of Kendrick, for all dem cuss words

I just picked up DAMN on vinyl and it sounds great. It is bass heavy, but soundstage/imaging are fantastic, and bass can be rolled off a little on my system.
