Mastering OBSBOT PTZ Camera: Tiny 2 & Tail Air Manual Control with SKAARHOJ PTZ Fly

The Tiny 2 (w NDI) and Tail Air have onboard recording to SD, but there is no VISCA command to start/stop recording. There is an OSC command to do it. And there are also many other OSC commands that aren’t available in VISCA. How would you add those commands to your OBSBOT core?

We do have both VISCA and OSC device cores available. If the OBSBOT camera allows two connections, then you can add both device cores to our panel, and assign the commands to any button you wish. Apart from that we thank you for letting us know about this. We’ll have this in consideration if we should make a specific OBSBOT device core that uses both protocols.

How are the cameras connected to the PTZ Fly? Especially the Tiny 2, which only has a USB-C connection?

Hi @CalcMaster86, The Tiny 2 uses OBSBOT's UVC to NDI Adaptor and the Tail Air uses OBSBOT's USB-C to Ethernet Adaptor. The adaptors put both cameras on the network allowing us to have VISCA control. 😃
