Forgive my question I'm fairly new to mastering, but is that your entire Mastering chain right there? Those 3 plugins?

Can you make full tutorials on on Mixing and Mastering anytype of TRACK??

really great stuff sir!!I just have one question,when submitting a whole project to a label,lets say they like the song and they want all the files,do you keep the mastering chain on while you bounce out the separate waves for each instrument or do you remove the plugins on the master bus and then bounce the wave files?

All depends on the label. Some want to do their own Mastering to which you really should leave enough headroom for this (-6db is usually the norm in a digital environment) . Back in the day they wanted 1 stereo file and even back further they worked right from the reel! Now things have changed and you give them "Stems" to work with. All mixed of course with NOTHING on the master chain. Now how many stems? Well it's up to you and your project. Some send 3. Vox, Instruments, Drums. Some more depending on the mastering house too. Other labels want you to give them a completed project which includes mastering so they can put the file right up. To which many artists send their files out to a mastering house to make sure they have a polished product. Best thing to do is to find out what the label wants and then work it from there ;)

I love your videos, but your vocal ducting SERIOUSLY interferes with being able to hear before and after adjustments, and that's the whole point, right?

The output is clipping like mad. (Bottom left corner). Seems like a pretty basic mistake to be making.
@DanReynoldsAudio10 жыл бұрын
It's not clipping-it's hard limited by the Pro-L at 0db. The master will come out looking like a brick. However, Pro-L can do 4x oversampling and inter-sample detection if you want. It's a great limiter.
