Do you have anything on Campaign Member Record Pages/Record Types? I'm having issues with getting my member page layouts to connect to the appropriate campaign record types.

We don't have any videos on campaign member record types but your challenge sounds like an interesting video we could make. Can you further explain your challenge? Are you looking to have different campaign member layouts for different campaign record types? If yes, then we could create matching campaign member record types for each campaign record type. Then create a flow that updates the campaign member record type when the campaign member record is created so it's correct. Let me know if this sounds right and we can get working on the video to illustrate the solution.

@@BluTigerAcademy It seems to me that we would need to customize the campaign member record types and page layouts to correspond to the campaign record types. If you have a phone campaign, then doesn't the campaign member record details need to be for a phone campaign? I'm trying to understand how the member record page display the appropriate campaign results for the campaign member. There isn't a lot out there that discusses that part. Or am i digging/falling down a rabbit hole?

If you are looking to show specific fields on the Campaign Member page for specific Campaigns then yes, you would need to implement Record Types on the Campaign Member since Dynamic Forms is not supported on the Campaign Member object. Most people just use the same page layout and choose to ignore the fields that don't apply which is not the best user experience. It is more to manage on your end, but better for the end user. You could create a record triggered flow that updates the Campaign Member record type to match the Record Type of the Campaign they are related to. Then the user would never have to select the record type before adding the campaign member. Do you think I am following your use case? If yes, this sounds like an awesome idea for a video for us to do! Let us know!

You are very welcome! I have never had to implement record types on the Campaign Member object in working with customers from all different industries for over a decade. We have one customer who is close due to the number of fields they have on the Campaign Member but it has taken almost a decade of using campaigns to get to that point. If you are just starting out with Campaigns in Salesforce, we recommend using record types on Campaigns only to start. Thank you for your questions!!

Is it possible to create a list view for all your campaigns that shows them in the same hierarchy view like on 20:05 , but then for all campaigns instead of a single campaign? When I view my All Campaigns list view, I want to see the hiearchy for all campaigns directly and not having to click on an individual campaign first to see the hierarchy. Hope my question is clear. Thanks!

@denniskraakman5938 Unfortunately, the hierarchy view is not possible in a list view. A workaround is to add the Parent Campaign field to the list view and then sort by this field. The one con here is the Parent Campaign would not sort with the children. In order to get around this, you would need to create a formula field that shows the Parent Campaign if that field has a value and if not it would show the Campaign name. Let me know if you need the syntax for the formula field. You could also use a report to show the hierarchy. You would run into the same grouping issue though but you could create a row level formula in the report that acts like the formula field for the list view workaround. I can provide that formula if you want it too. Let me know.
