My first handgun was a Springfield and ever since, I've fallen in love with their firearms.

For the price, they make a great 1911-- love my garrison blued , I think another one that are starting to be a really good buy under 1000 would be the Bul armory.

I have the Combat Operator in 9mm and absolutely love it. I wanted a TRP that was in 9mm and when it came out a grabbed one. All my semi autos are 9mm and it fits in nicely. Glad to see all these 9mm 1911 offerings.

I have this gun, had it tuned by a 1911 specialist smith. It is the single best gun I've ever owned, ever shot. I literally dream about shooting it on days I can't. The worst thing about COVID is being unable to get more food for my Ronin easily.

Springfield used to make a lightweight 45 operator, combing an alloy frame with a light rail and a 5" barrel. That format would be PERFECT in 9mm.

@bigghoss7624 жыл бұрын
I got a used Springfield Range Officer Operator 9mm not long ago. Shooting a full weight 9mm 1911 isn't a big jump up from shooting a .22lr pistol. Down side is it's a full weight 40oz. 1911 so if you wanted to carry it you're going to notice that weight. I'm not really a fan of the new font Springfield uses now but I guess it's not a deal breaker.
@dcooper19944 жыл бұрын
Since the name has Operator in it, you would think it would come with a rail.
@raider52314 жыл бұрын

I think the lack of a checkered front strap is a glaring omission. Any 1911 that dosn't have one feels loose and sloppy in my hand.

It looks like a wonderful pistol, aesthetically and functionally; however, seems odd to call it an "operator" pistol and then highly polish the sides of the frame.

Dude at 1:42 when that bug crawled on ur neck, I would've screamed and messed up the whole video! Hahaha! Love the SA Ronin, mine is in .45! Only thing is I wish it was a metal trigger and not polymer! However no biggie! For the price, I don't think u can get a better 1911! Great video brother!

Chris Smith Yeah, after a while it takes a pretty big distraction to throw me off. I think I could probably tolerate the pain of a murder wasp sting me as opposed to having to go back through and edit it all out! The good news about the trigger is it’s a standard 1911 trigger. If you want to change down and customize it? Go forward!
@chrissmith77304 жыл бұрын
@@SafetySolutionsAc yeah it's not a big deal so I'll just leave it stock. Lol. I like the trigger being black, it goes with the two tone nice! I put a set of Charles Spresser India Sambar Stag grips on it, it's now one of my safe queen guns. Haha

If you make a 1911 without front strap checkering in 2023 you have created a sub standard product. End of story. That process is so simple to add in modern cnc machines that you are behind the curve. Fusion firearms is blowing you guys out of the water.

I am a grown man of average build / strength and have shot guns a few times in my life at the range, but wouldn't consider myself an experienced shooter. However, I am looking to buy my first gun now. I definitely want a 1911 (due to being a history buff - perhaps not the best reason to choose a particular style). I was originally looking at Browning 380 (which is really light) as well as the SA Range Officer in 9mm. However, I am seriously looking at the 9mm Ronin 5". It would be used to go shooting with friends and for home protection (not concealed carry - although I live in AZ so CC is an easy option). I might eventually get a second gun after some time if I ever decide to CC, but quite frankly I believe that it would be two guns max. Any suggestions on the Ronin vs. The Range Officer?

Yes i bought 1 on the 8th of last month,it was my first pistol and the only reason i got the 9mm instead of the 45 (which i initially wanted) was cuz as far as concealed carry for a full size pistol after feeling the weight of it i knew the 45 wouldve been too heavy for me comfortabley to carry.Plus its my first (owned) so i didnt want it to get aggravating lol.Its shoots amazing with accuracy n only comes with 1 mag.GOD bless!

Need a bushing wrench? Is that a joke my dude? 🤣 I'm not going to touch too much on the fact that the 1911 has (besides the bushingless models) always been designed to be field strippable down to it's absolute smallest components with no tools required and just hammer the point home that i frequently take those bushings out one handed. Gotta work on that hand strength bruh.
