I love the blue and green together. In fact, I had a vintage (50s 60s) dress and coat set that was done in those same colors and I loved it! Unfortunately it didn't fit me but I found a great home for it.

Loved all of the outfits you put together! I mostly like to wear black and just add pops of color. But over this past year I've been branching out into purples, so purple with greens, blues, silver etc. So many things can go well with a soft lavender or lilac color.

Blue and green should never be seen?!? First time I heard that! Like you, I agree that’s poppycock! I have a green dress with navy piping from eShakti, which I pair with a navy cardigan. I’ll wear it with navy flats in early fall and spring, and navy tights and ankle boots in winter. I always get compliments when I wear it. It isn’t a vintage look, but it’s timeless, which is what I love most about vintage-finding the looks from any era which transcend the fashion of the season. Edited to add…it’s too hard to pick a single favorite, I loved them all. :~)

I love this kind of video. I think pairing certain colors I already love can bring out tones in them that I never perceived before. Dark green is one of my very favorite colors, and I actually like it with a deep red. I think the combination looks rich and jewel-like. So your green dress/red Fair Isle sweater pairing with accessories was my favorite one, but I really liked them all. P.S. I LOVE blue and green together.

Blue and orange are so classic together! I love taking inspiration from nature and also from patterns I find in fabrics. I often create wardrobe capsules from one piece with a great pattern. I have a burnt orange colored top with cream, olive green and purple embroidery on it. It was the inspiration for my fall wardrobe!

Those base colors are my main colors. I love playing around with what can go with them and like you said its about going with and not being matchy matchy. I also love that if you change the shade of those colors it can apply not just to the 30s and 40s but to the 50s and 60s as well. Loved your video!!! xox

It's curious that some really not intuitive things seem to be so universal. I'm German, and in my childhood, blue and green was seen as a no-go as well. My mother told me that it was the same when she was young. Where does that come from?
