Why pull back at the end and re-sew a little? Is there a reason you don't use the reverse function?

Nope, just to worried I’d mess up the lining of the squares and since it’s only a couple stitches and invisible thread, visually it didn’t matter ☺️

In the beginning I showed it myself using the foot pedal. You just put your foot down lightly. The harder you press the faster it goes.
