I'm also a ski-instructor, and my tip for you would be to do the hand-to-the-hip excercise, since you really need that bend in your body in order to ensure your ability to keep max pressure on the outside ski. But yeah for sure, more dynamic up & down would also be great, and not so much "static skiing".
