So many edm tracks are overcompressed, so I think the dynamic range shouldn't be something to be scared of hitting red.

I downloaded Expose but came across this and found this seem to be better as you can see the levels and work on in visual rather than static, I found this Tutorial very helpful and im going to buy the full version, I certainly learnt alot and found this tutorial very helpful, Thanks keep up the great work

Thanks for this very useful video! Please add 'Bass space' details as well. I guess when it goes red, it means you need to turn down the low frequencies.

Has there been an update as of late? I feel like this version has more features than the version I have been using. Such a well thought out plugin. I sold several of my friends on how good it is as a metering plugin and they love it too!

Yep we're on LEVELS 2.0, it's a free update! You can see if an update is available within the software itself. Just click the (?) icon in the top right corner and you'll see the version number. If an update is available you'll also see a link to download the latest update.

Should have parameters (buttons) that allows us to fix these problems within the plugin. Almost perfect...

Excellent as always! Just one question. In the average loudness range table, you made separate rows for EDM, House and Electronic. Would Martin Garrix and Fisher be good examples for EDM and House?Also, what would be a good example for Electronic?

Amazing plugin. Anyone knows a correct LUFS metering for mastering a tracks that it is going to vinyl? I was thinking about 10 or 11. Or the standar 14 for digital platforms should be ok?
@carators36113 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the helpful video! I am trying out Levels, but I am mixing/mastering very dynamic music, and I just can't get it to sit at -14 LUFS. The quiet parts are too quiet, but if I make it any louder, I have too many peaks. Do you have any advice?

I love this plugin. But the Lra for me is a thing I didn't get right....on my tracks this value decreases always during the track.

Can I use the plugin at the end of my mastering chain to analyse the four meter readers (peak, bass space etc) or does this need to be done before mastering chain? Also I'm assuming it is OK to use within my session on the stereo out...? Best regards
@soulidbeats53604 жыл бұрын
Just link it to the "control room out" since its the same as the master output.

I feel like this should be at the end of your mastering chain.

Tom, on your Levels global screen we have 8 bands responding to the input to Levels. What frequency bands do they cover? Thanks.
@Masteringthemixlondon4 жыл бұрын
The home screen of LEVELS is designed to be 'data free' The 8 bands are essentially a zoomed out frequency spectrum, but they are not supposed to give any actionable information. The idea is that LEVELS keeps you in your creative flow and only warns you if there is a technical issue with your mix or master.
