Thank You so much Mr. Sean! This is (and will) be a great motivation to all of us who are trying to figure out *the path* which you mentioned here. What I really liked is how You don't just answer a question, but You go in and around it, giving examples and really useful advice. Thank You very much! God bless You and Your loved ones! Edit: for reference, here are the notable people You mentioned in the video, besides Your influences: - Johann Joseph Fux - music theorist, most known for his counterpoint treatise "Gradus ad Parnassum", - Charles Lloyd - a great American jazz musician, mostly saxophone and flute player, - Donald Byrd - American jazz and rhythm & blues trumpeter and vocalist. Thank You! :)

Thank you Sean. This was so informative. I especially loved the part about the role of the solist to be the curator of musical events and letting the rhythm section dicate what the soloist should play.

I'm afraid when they say "IN ALL 12 KEYS" ... It's like when you "master" one blues in one key... There are always 11 other keys you need to do ? I mean is this even possible? Playing a blues in C# ...It feels like i'm sanding a stone with a feather :p

Hey there, fellow musician-friend! :) What recently came to my mind, and I really take it as a motivation, is that there is *only* twelve keys! It's not like fifty seven or something.. it's only twelve! You can always prioritise, of course, and focus on some keys more than on the others, but it's still only 12 of them! C, F, G, Bb are the first ones for most of us, I suppose.. Besides that, some are very similar, like G and C blues scales, for example. So, you know the C blues now, right? Well, you have only eleven left! You need like a few days, maybe a week, to get a good grip on a scale, and play it freely. Happy practising! ^_^
