Good job man . i don't know why you have more room for the starter
@kaishabrown872 ай бұрын
Right I have the same exact year van and mine doesn’t have that much room in the front. Underneath I have a lot tho
@ToolswithSoAlz3 жыл бұрын
Dad used to bypass the starter by using a long handle screwdriver. Years later I used this same trick to hotwire my lawnmower when the solenoid went bad.
@bobpaulino47145 ай бұрын
Can't get to the solenoid on this one. Old Ford's had the solenoid on the fender well. Common sense went out the window ---

Great job 👍 you lucked out with the starter being up front and the wiring pretty accessible. Working on your car is therapeutic (when everything goes as plan) 😂

Yes, when it goes as planned. Otherwise it just reminds me why I never became a mechanic 🙂✌️❤️

Did you use a standard jack? Or is the van on a lift?
@brandonslechta25102 жыл бұрын
Hi. I was just quoted $780 to replace the starter on my 2010 town and country. How long do you think this took you from start to finish?
@MasteringMayhem2 жыл бұрын
With filming the video it took me about an hour and a half. I’d say it’s an hour job give or take if you have all the tools. Let me know if you end up doing it yourself. 🙂✌️❤️

Hell yeah 🚗 I am so in for this bro! Put a turbo in!
@MasteringMayhem3 жыл бұрын
Shoot…the van can barely handle premium 92 gasoline, the turbo would finish it 🤯
@ToolswithSoAlz3 жыл бұрын
If it can't handle a Turbo, your only alternative is to go with NOS.

Awesome job brother. You really helped me out here. Funny thing was, one of the hardest parts of this was finding where that dogon thing was. 😄 you gave me the encouragement I needed. Saved me a lot of cash. The other was that with that craftsman twist action ratchet, it saves you from having to take the front fans and cowling off. I owe you a beer! Take care. 🏖🎶🎸🦜

I’ll take you up on that beer. Very glad to have helped with this video. I hope you and yours are well 🙂✌️❤️

The small wire is the signal wire the bigger one is constant battery power. The ground is achieved by the bolts and starter up against the engine because the engine is grounded
