Masters Elf Indoor Karting Paris Bercy 1993 (Full Race. Part 1 of 2)

Masters Elf Indoor Karting Paris Bercy был организован бывшим гонщиком Ф-1 Филиппом Штрайффом, после аварии навсегда прикованным к инвалидному креслу. Картинговый турнир проходил в декабре 1993 года в Берси (Франция). Это первое из нескольких подобных соревнований, которые в последующие годы с успехом будут закрывать гоночный сезон, пока эстафету не перехватит Гонка чемпионов.
Помимо прочих пилотов Ф-1 (Хилл, Херберт, Панис, де Чезарис, Мартини), в Elf Master KARTING INDOOR приняли участие - только что коронованный чемпион мира Ален Прост и его извечный соперник Айртон Сенна. Эти два великих пилота в последний раз вместе вышли на гоночную трассу.

lembrando que Senna em 1977 ganhou o seu primeiro "Campeonato Sul-Americano de Kart", repetindo o feito em 1980. Foi campeão brasileiro de kart em 1978, 1979 e 1980. Foi campeão paulista em duas ocasiões, em 1974 (na categoria júnior) e 1976. Foi duas vezes vice-campeão mundial de kart, em 1979 - empatou com o campeão nos pontos, mas perdeu no desempate - e 1980. ele foi um gênio.

Ayrton Senna was here still alive. ;) I missed him a lot. If he could drive just 2-3 more years in F1, that would have been wonderful. ;) I think, he could have done a lot more pole positions and wins! ;)

What happened to the annual karting event at Bercy? It's a shame they no longer hold the event anymore

over the years, the F1 stars started to stay away due to contract issues. It more and more became a national event, and TV coverage decreased. It all started in 1995 as Jan Magnussen started to bring in his brother as his personal mechanic for his go-kart. From 1996 on, actions like these were prohibited, and the appearance of top notch drivers started to drop out.

32:14, It was never inexpensive. 44:53, I wonder if Ayrton adjusted the mixture. After he put his hand down at his engine a ploom of smoke was emitted. Thereafter it ran noticeably rich. I noticed others were similarly reaching down at their engines. Are they able to adjust mixture while running? 45:41, question answered. Commentator is very good. Alas, those frustrating actions resulted in a loss of concentration. 48:50, Was that a sign of things to come at Imola (also a right turn..)?
