Great Video - those Pelikans are very cheap. It is about the brand and your hand. Different brands, different quality, different nib feel. A Sailor Progear with a slightly bouncy nib, a Pelikan with a very stiff nib. Then the size of the pen and the weight and the diameter of the grip. So many things can affect the writing experience. Nib tuning matters too. I have cheap Lamy pens that write every bit as well as a Montblanc after some nib tuning. Aurora always need some fine tuning on their nibs, but when t is done they are one fo the best nibs on the planet. Sailor Nibs are brilliant straight out of the box. Platinum nibs are on the stiff side but they are superb writers.

Their name is so catchy, too, right? I reckon because they not only sell fountain pens, but they also help everyone take care of their pens. They give you advise on what pen would suit your needs and lifestyle, or how to write, where to write, what paper to use and such. Honestly being a family owned business for generations is important in other countries as well. If i had to choose between the new shop, the mega store or a family run business, i would go to the family business 99% of the times. Especially if my parents or grandparents also went there. Sometimes the new owners/next generation aren't so adept at the job or trustworthy, but there's still a level of professionalism that's guaranteed. Great video !

Matsuya Fountain Pen Hospital is really accessible and easy to find. You should drop-by next time you visit Nagasaki. The owner and staff are accommodating, too! They really know their stuff!

Hello. Thank you for watching 😊 I highly recommend this shop to fountain pen lovers. Because they're not in a mall or a busy commercial street in a big city, you can get hard to find pens. The owners are also very friendly and informative. They really deserve the store's name ❤️ I'm not sure if the owners speak English, but I did see 1 younger staff. She could potentially know how, or at least would try her best 😜
