Ginger was a cranky old grump, but his talent cannot be refuted. The man could flat out play the drums, and his musical sensibility was remarkable. Every note in its proper place. RIP.

Hell Yah! I’ve purchased he original album twice on vinyl. One died and one got swiped at a party. Purchased it on cassette too, played the shi$ out of it and…more dead music. Truly one of my favourite albums of all time too. It didn’t hurt that Mr Goss helped out Kyus and Queens too. Brilliant stuff. Here’s for the great post and trip down memory lane. 👍❤️

Saw this line up at Stoney Brook U on Long Island. about 300 people it was such a great show the best this band ever sounded. Too bad the grunge movement did not dig this. They opened for Stone Temple Pilots and people did not like them.

You know what happened then damn that curt Cobain if it hadn't been for that stupid smells like teen spirit record we were the next in line to ride the train, instead we got dropped and into the bargain bin forever left there because of an inferior grunge movement that took off Cobain was no lyrical genius and to hear people compare him to John Lennon makes me throw up in my mouth a little, it's just a damn shame how it all went down

The wanna be has beens that never were, but almost were a damn shame the day of that show a Steven segal film was released and the song domino was featured in it but, it was already over grunge was the scene and knowing how to play your instruments was no longer cool, it was three dirty power chords for the next 8 years

Tragic when you think of all the rubbish bands that have made it since 1990 and yet few know of this lineup. Best thing Ginger did since Cream. The single greatest drummer rock ever produced, by a mile. John Bonham couldn't have carried his luggage.

Well, best rock drummer until Neil Peart came along, but Ginger had a pretty good run.
@aleleeinnaleleeinn9110
@aleleeinnaleleeinn9110 5 жыл бұрын
Just remember Ginger is still around and only dying will stop hime from playing. Well, maybe his heart attack. Neil Peart has said: "His playing was revolutionary - extrovert, primal and inventive. He set the bar for what rock drumming could be. [...] Every rock drummer since has been influenced in some way by Ginger - even if they don't know it. (Ginger's WIKI) I saw him with Cream in 1968--HE WAS A GOD. For those who only remember the Cream era. You know less than half of what he can do. Ginger could and did play any style of music. Check out his "African Force" stuff. I don't throw crap at different musicians. I like who I like and that's enough for me. And please don't get stuck in the past. There is some damned good new music out there. Yeah, it's hard tofind sometimes, but good music was hard to find in the sixties too. There was no FM radio and AM didn't play anything over three minutes.

I must admit, although MOR have made fine albums all down the line, their eponymous debut will always occupy the dearest space in my heart. I first heard it at a party in late 1990, and it became one of my all-time favourites on the spot. Rubin's signature raw, in your face production really brought the rock and blues balls out properly on that record. A total classic.

Wow, what a coincidence! I just now listened to this song on their Live at the Viper Room CD.! The fact that the one and only great Ginger Baker was willing to join this band speaks volumes about its creativity and ass kicking songs. What's weird is that it's actually one of the greatest, yet least known rock and roll bands out there. But I've had the original album in my collection since 1988. Thank God! And my older brother, who introduced me to the album.😂
