Review of The Masters of the Universe Masterverse New Eternia Viking He-man that is part of The Masters of the universe wave four Revelation line of Figures and was an original early art concept designed by Mark Taylor who was one of the artists and creators of He-man and the masters of the universe vintage toy lines and figures.

Thanks for watching the review and congrats on your pick ups! Yeah I think he came out great and I love the accessories he came with! The reason he didn't have a shield is because the idea the this figure is going back to some of the original art and early Masters of the universe concepts that was suppost to be what the early vintage figures were gonna or could have looked liked before they went to more of a filmation style. But I think some early images of Viking He-man did not have a shield. The figure called Vikor did have a shield which was made in the classics line. You can always use the revalation He-man shield too.

@Sybarite Sphynx The head sculpt is really cool on this He-man. I think many of us who grew up with the Vintage series always expect that iconic He-man look going back to the vintage figure. Then the 40th anniversary put out that figure and head that can go on this body, and so many people still complained. Just have to be opened mined sometimes like yourself. I, too, have become very open-minded and welcoming of new looks in these figures👍

The buck of the Savage He-Man should have been what they used for the standard version. His lats are filled out more. I do like this new Viking He-Man and will probably grab him, Teela and Skeletor. No doubt that new head looks much better on the original He-Man. Also, it appears that the upper body of the Viking He-Man is broader than the original He-Man body. Can you confirm?

It was hard to tell under my lights. But it seems the new He-man buck is slighly different as far as broader at the chest. But no to much difference in opinion to use it for the savage heman and make him look bigger. I think this new He-man is really cool They are getting better with each release.

Greetings. I've seen images of the new wave of Masterverse figures before February ended. I'm almost tempted to want Viking He-Man since I missed out on the first Masterverse He-Man and this one has more accessories and customization. This might be an unpopular opinion, but fingers crossed that this He-Man's figure can be taken apart successfully and safely if folks want to do custom painting on him.

The revalations figures don't come apart easy. I tried with the legs of a spare revalations Faker and almost broke the articulation points. I do some customizing, but I don't go that far. I guess if you are a good customizer, anything is possible with these figures.

I almost wanted to buy Masterverse Andra because I wanted to take her apart to do custom paintwork, but knowing that you and perhaps other collectors had difficulties with other Masterverse figures made me decide to say no. You saved me over $20 at the moment. Thanks. Only seasoned collectors who are also customizers can take apart these toys.

@@tonyc.0451 No problem! Yeah they don't come apart like the origins. So im not sure how they do. I couldn't find a good way to take the legs, arms or torso apart. It like the ball joints ends were sealed in the buck. But again. You have to get a cheap used body and experiment. I was gonna paint the faker in all that cybernetic silver. But I couldn't get him apart without force. So I stopped. I'm sure there are customizers on youtube that's knows how or has done it.

Can the chest armor off the Masterverse figures fit on Origins?

It depends on the figure sometimes. Most of the time, yes. Or the armor can fit on the Origins buck, but one strap can't lock. I think this Viking He-man armor can fit on the Origins from what I remember or maybe I tried it at one time.

@WhiteLongSword7 Thanks for checking out this review. I always liked this figure. The shoulder armor pieces are thinner than the Origins cross armor. Normally, they aren't gonna fit. And the Origins He-man armor is a solid piece. So you would have to customize and open up those shoulder pieces to go around the Origins armor.

I'm not sure what your exactly referring to as far as figures improving. I think the revalation line is gonna stick around for a while and improve the figures regardless of the down fall of the cartoon. They are getting better with each release!👍

Under my lights. I think th either head works on the first release He-man ok. My heman has strange tones on various parts of his body. My friend also got a regular revalation heman and the colors are different on that too. So it depends. But I think it works good for what it is!

@@allmusicfan88 Yeah I think this He-man feels more in line with the classics too. I notice that with the newer Revelation figures. They seem to be going more in the direction of the classics but still have their own unique body, arms and leg designs the remind me of something along the lines of the 200x series. I'm not sure if they will re-release another colored He-man in this line but I would image we will see more He-man variants for sure.

@@allmusicfan88 I agree the classics buck is better then the revalation. But like you said! The revalation figures have better articulation. Yes I'm not a fan of the undercut in the biceps of the revalation figures. It looks ok when the arms are bent up, but a half cut look when the arms are straight. I think they did that to have pinless joints and an elbow piece, plus to allow the arms to bend all the way in to the chest. The classics can't do that. It also makes the revalation figures arms look a little longer. Again they have simular astectics to the 200x line. Like Smaller heads. Bigger legs and arms. Anime hunch and muscle tone. But it's give and take between the revalation and classics. One line has better features or articulation and ways to customize over the other.

No problem man! Well they just Showed new images of the changes. He was shown for around September. I'm gonna guess between Next month and September the lastest..I have a feeling we might see him around the time of Power-con which starts August 5. So I Think the month of August! But you never know because its all up to the distribution supply chain. I think he is Manufactured along with The New Eternia wave 5 figures but they are in Transit which could take 30 to 90 days from the factorys to get into warehouses.

Not Feeling that extra sculpt TBH.. Maybe it looks better in person The 1st he-man has grown on me, my main complaint is his skin should be darker, or more tan. And for god sakes they should have given his face more of an expression, instead of a blank stare.. Other than that,masterverse rules!

Even when I watched my playback review on screen, that head looked different then what I had in hand in person which look good as I said. I personally like it better on my first release He-man. I too liked the original head and He-man but I always said the same thing! The face should have had a different grin or expression. The savage He-man is even worse! That should have had the screaming head. The color is strange to on the first release He-man. Looks yellowish or something. Overall I like many things with this new Viking He-man. Maybe we can see another release or style of the first release He-man but more accurate to the cartoon as far as color and a head.👍

He-Man heads on this toy line bother me just a weeeeeee bit. He looks too young and too happy. It like making a Conan figure with a big grin. He should manly not goofy. Either way, I still like 'em and the new head ,even though he looks too happy for me, it looks fat better than the previous toy.

Thanks for watching and sharing your comments! In hand I don't think he looks to bad. Its kind of it's own thing and really trying to replicate the original concept art or ideas from the lords of power line that should have been part or if not the main figures in the 80s vintage toys. But we got something different looking because of the filmation tie in and those figures were less complex to produce and more apealing to kids in that day. However we got the He-man and skeletor with those vintage head sculpts that we grown to love. So of coarse we will always prefer that vintage look in our He-man. They annouced a revalation style 40th aniversrsary He-man later this year that is a perfect reimaging to the vintage figure but in a more adult tone kind of like the classics but with that awesome vintage head and accessories. He is coming later this year. So if your not sure about this Viking He-man, Then hold out for that figure👍

It's different I guess! I think it is better then the first release head in opinion. But we have that 40th aniversrsary He-man coming later this year with the vintage head that looks good!👍

Meh.. they must have overstocked their he-man figures. Should have just sold weapon packs. No real reason to buy this one.

That could have been an option for sure. But to make more money on the tooling, they will issue a whole new He-man with all that stuff instead!

How well does the Viking head fit on origins?

I didn't try that in the video because I wanted to save time. Usually I do try head swaps on the origins. But I just tried it now. It fits really well on origins He-man. Both heads do. Same peg set up.

I have the new skelator coming on Saturday. So I will review that figure to. But during the review I might add a quick He-man origins head swap update because I have had a couple other people ask thar too.
