Went to ANWA in April with my son. Experience of a lifetime - the course is more magnificent in person than it looks on TV. Truly the top of my bucket list to see Augusta National - what a treasure!

It is one of the many, many great traditions that make the Masters by far my must-watch tournament. It just has so much more meaning than other tournaments. The Open has the longer history, but the Masters is the most coveted. And one thing they didn't focus on in this video is that these treacherous holes are just fabulously beautiful and immaculately groomed.

love seeing this type of content! Great work to everyone who put this together. The story of Augusta National needs to be told to the younger generation

The Masters at Augusta is the greatest event on the calendar each year . Of all sports . Nothing beats The Masters. And its all because of Augusta National Golf Course . Its perfection and its better than The Open at St Andrews . From a Scotsman.

The shot by Mickelson in 2010 at the 13th stands out for me as one of the best there that I have ever seen. From trouble to incredible in one shot.

I'm a lefty and a big fan. Hard to believe he missed the putt, but he still made birdie lol.

I was thinking about how every iconic player has a bridge named after them and how it was important to their memory at Augusta. Gene Sarazen and the "shot heard 'round the world" at 15. So I was thinking about Tiger, and it's very clear that his chip-in on 16 may very well be his most iconic shot, I hope they will one day dedicate something there to Tiger. _IN YOUR LIFE!_

It's pretty nice course, best,? The hilly layout is not indicative to early Golf of Scotland or Ireland. Links golf is the best, although I believe wood lined courses are an American invention. Many early golf courses planted trees to line and define the holes, 100 yrs later those trees become a forest...water too was not much on links except an ocean. Even Augusta didn't originally have such trees, it was an orchard. I worked at masters , great experience but after being there a few times the first time magic wears off, too many people, too many elitests, greedy... Snobby...locals consume most tickets because of grandfather clause and sell them, or rent them out basically, so they can make $$$. 1 badge now goes in 2/3 times a day...I'm sure Bobby Jones would be appauled by what the place became...

Yeah maybe but to me a straight out No for being an elitist private club with a questionable past, hugely overpriced for bragging rights. Nice yes but imo, private courses should not be used for tour events. Why give rich private clubs a revenue stream when there are amazing public courses that need financial help and would really gain from tour exposure.

Agree with your premise 100%, but also support a carve-out for Augusta National and The Masters. It is simply the greatest sporting event in the world.

@@Seektruth-59 look, my background is in Turfgrass Management, so let me have some insight for ya. There are private clubs that want nothing to do with a tour stop…I’m a Pennsylvanian, and it’s all too common knowledge around here that Lancaster CC told the USGA “no” for many years…the disruption required for even a regular tour event is MASSIVE, let alone a major. Augusta has created an environment that yes, is private and exclusive and serves their membership wants but also, and more Importantly, serves to the growth of the tournament and ultimately the growth of the game. And let’s not let envy misguide us…it’s an all too common trait among many people in the age of social media and especially among young people.

The Masters is not a PGA tour event. It's an invitation only. It's why they have more international and amateur players than PGA events.
