The spotter is telling the shooter where to aim. Rather than adjust the sights, which means the shooter has to come off the rifle, very often the spotter will tell the shooter where to aim instead.

Not at all. Suppressor suppresses the sound off firearm by allowing the gases from the barrel to cool down by delaing them and thus reducing the sound in hearing safe levels. In this particular case the goal is not to wear hearing protection end of course making it difficult for the opposing side to detect you. Now the silencer works in a similar manner with the suppressor but by using subsonic ammunitions the noize is redacted so much that the user can be undetected from the opposing side. So in this case the goal is century removal and in general be very quiet. Keep in mind though that by using a silencer the ballistics of the firearm and It's Range are greatly reduced in favour of being stealth.Due to this similarity nowadays the word silencer is used for a legal definition for a firearm suppression device , and the word suppressor is used for a technical definition for a firearm suppression device. That last woman spotter....are you telling him he hit right, or telling him to aim farther right. It really seemed like she was telling him to keep aiming farther away from center each time judging by the way his 3 shots on T3 kept moving right. I think there was some major miscommunication between the shooter and spotter.

Do they not shoot these guns before bringing them to the competition??? I watched the whole competition and I saw far too many malfunctions and issues with elevation. I understand wind. But some of these guys definitely bought their way into this competition

I dont think you understand how incredibly difficult this is. Something as minor as the temperature of the round you are about to fire has an effect on the trajectory. Wo training you could use these same rifles, and shoot all day wo hitting one of those targets.

@@smasher.338 I'm a long range comp shooter and a police officer. I do realize how hard this is, if you aren't prepared. The environmental elements are one thing, but bringing the wrong ammo, or using ammo that hasn't been pressure tested, or forgetting to adjust your scope is not something you expect from guys who do this for a living.

@@codychildress7859 wrong ammo? Lol, these guys hand load the ammo FOR the gun. Most of them have tested hundreds of combinations. If you were a long range shooter you would know that. Also, in the situation where the case was getting stuck, that isnt a rare occurrence. He lengthened his cases to push the round closer to the rifling. When you do that you get case expansion. Also, if you were a long range shooter, you would know if someone didn't have their scope ajusted, even at the closest distance they were shooting, you wouldn't even be able to see the rounds impact, as it wouldn't be anywhere close to the target. You get flyers when your scope mount has a slight almost imperceptible wobble, so do you think these guys would be hitting near the target if their scopes were not ajusted?
