God, that bit where Mat just shoves the bike aside before starting the fight truly is a wonderful bit of unintended comedy. But this is the first time I've seen this pretty much legendarily off brand bit...and man, it's really just an absolutely bonkers way to end a game, an extreme sports game out of all the things. It's too bad that they phoned it in otherwise, the goals have absolutely no rhythm, it's just 'here, land a bunch of hard trick combos perfectly, tricks that you might not know about'

I will never understand the end of this game. I feel like halfway thru they gave up on it lol. First few levels had some really good goals. Good levels and then you end up fighting a damn transformer looking tiki lol. Another quality playthrough bro.

@@BenedictPlays I've went back to this game a couple times and start playing and think why wasnt there a 3rd one. Then I see the ending again and I know why there wasnt a 3rd one haha.

@@adamshiflett9845 It's kind of sad too considering that at the base core of this game specifically, it's actually a really interesting idea. The casual American road trip, hitting cities and spots is actually something that few extreme sports games of that era hit (no, I don't count THUG 2) and especially the intro movies for the riders really brings that home. Of course, then again, considering the extreme sports game boom made stars out of people that probably would have never gotten much recognition otherwise (Mat Hoffman especially, I doubt that ESPN 30 for 30 doc about him would have been made if he hadn't benefited from the boom that came post THPS) I guess we can only think of what if.

Don't you just hate it when you're playing an extreme sports games and E1M1 starts playing and takes over your game? Also that on foot controls looked painful, I imagine that they couldn't do much with the ps2 controller Great playthrough as always 😄

PS2 controller has nothing to do with it. There's plenty of good shooters on PS2, the issue with this game is that the controls are inverted, so UP is DOWN and DOWN is UP, which is moronic, and you can't change it. An excellent way to tarnish the game at the very end.

The goals are different for me on this level playing on the Xbox version. Are they randomly generated or is it a platform difference?

One the one hand I can appreciate developers having fun with their properties by making silly game modes. On the other hand, that tiki battle does not look fun to play. Woof.

Honestly, considering it's more or less a throwaway in an extreme sports game, I can well imagine that Rainbow were just like 'fuck it, if it controls like ass it controls like ass' and most people would understand considering...well, it's *a way* to end an extreme sports game. But yeah. Especially if you're used to FPS games, even FPS games of this time frame, it doesn't look fun or that great to control.
