Always a pleasure to watch another Mate Talk. Congrats on nearing 50k, it's been such a pleasure watching the channel grow from when I first joined! Honey is easily in my top 3 notes, and I'm sure you could've included many more in this My 3 favorite ommissins are: (1) Gold Knight by Kilian, a beautiful, enigmatic anise and honey combination (2) Tobacolor from Dior; this one is a syrupy honey, smoke, plum, peach and tobacco! Delicious (3) Persephone's Patchouli from Electimuss, just a gorgeous pomegrante, patchouli, and honey mix! Looking forward to the vanilla video this weekend! Hope you're well.

Ahh, honey! It can be so right or go so wrong. The only way to extract fragrance oil from 'honey' itself is from beeswax (which does smell lovely, is sweet, and a bit animalic). Nothing can be extracted from the actual nectar, and it's at least partially synthetics used to get that aspect of it (The accord in Naxos is very much synthetic, as much as I like it). Will have to try the Zaharoff as it does list a beeswax absolute, and sounds good (also, I love baklava, which is meant to be the inspiration 🙂).

Hahaha it's all good Marcelo. I am sure if you had sprayed Aurum on your hand before eating them they would smell divine! I may need to try Aurum or Tabac, i loved Naxos when i tried it but unfortunately it ruined a white shirt of mine. I got a drop of perfume on my t shirt but i was in a rush to leave the house. Once the alcohol evaporated the oil was dark yellow😂. I smelled really good though and i think i need a honey fragrance on my collection.

I like zefiro more than naxos or Renaissance. It's very underrated because it is more nuanced and subtle, and all hype from fragcom usually comes from those who only like simple projection monsters, cheap beer w pizza, and mindless action movies.

If this is a good friend, as you say, I think they probably doesn’t understand that you have to act a little different (more energy) on camera than when you are just hanging out with friends at home. This difference in behavior, to them, might come across as not genuine and feel a bit clownish to watch, but to someone that just met you (your viewers) it’s not, because this is all they know of you. We all are slightly different versions of ourselves to different people. Boss, Coworkers, old school buddies, childhood friends, wife, siblings, parents, etc. They all know a different facet of our personality.

Everything you shared here is absolutely correct. When it comes to being in front of the camera (just like being on stage) you have to increase your ‘volume’, your personality; Otherwise it gets drowned out by the camera. And you’re also right in saying that we do play different roles, depending on who is in front of us. As I mentioned, in this Mate Talk, my friend was only worried for me, and had the desire to help me, but not realize the negative effect of those words…. Man I love some honey in my fragrances even better if its a boozy fragrance ! Its funny how im at the start of the video and already want to write ahahahahah One of my favorite frags with hone its acctually Sun Force from The harmonist (i like to gatekeep this one AND Hypnotising Fire just perfect frags ahahaahahahah) Naxos its a staple some times i feel its so good and its start to getting a lot of attencion Loved the video as always cant wait to see more videos ! I'll keep my negative sentiment re: the Zaharoff brand to myself, I appreciate George the person though. Best honey fragrances in the market are largely by Kilian in my opinion. Gold Knight and Back to Black are two that come to mind that blow most other honey-note fragrances out of the water. Xerjoff's "Mamluk" is also a great oud-honey fragrance, albeit the floral tones aren't my favorites. I think Ceylon actually has a really nice honey note too, but the other accords are very prominent (much like how Nefs has a lot of other accords).
