I was diagnosed with salivary cancer in 2018 after surgery my Mom gave me a prayer book and picture of St. Padre Pio from her friend and after that I’ve been praying to Padre Pio since then after few days in the hospital the doctors gave me a god news and said my tumor came back benign and no need for chemotherapy nor radiation. Padre Pio died 1968 2 months before I had surgery a month before his 50th death anniversary and my 50th birthday and until now I’m really a devotee of St. Padre Pio.🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

We pray to canonized saints because we know they are already in heaven, and can intercede for us. Just as you would ask a friend or family member to pray for you, it makes sense that we could ask a saint to pray for us. Death does not stop Christians from praying for one another. This is an important part of what it means to be joined in the "Communion of Saints," which is a communion of the souls on earth with the souls in heavenly glory. We are united with one another in the mystical Body of Christ.

Again to those who keep accusing and having little knowledge about the Scriptures. Roman Catholics don't worship Saints, we venerate them as role models since we are all made in God's image and likeness. Therefore, we look up to them and follow the call to become holy or Saints. They serve as assists just like in a basketball to shoot a three point. God does the miracle, Saints do the assist. Our purpose in life is to become Saints not only in Heaven but also on Earth. The greatest connection we can use to reach God is profound prayer. As what the video has shown, take that for example, when someone you love got sick, she asks you to pray for her for a fast recovery and you did so, day in and day out. By the time she was healed, she thanked God and also you, because you helped her heal through prayer. If we have that power, how much more the Saints who are already with God in Heaven??! There's no question about God's power, but He humbled Himself and shared to us that blessing. In the Bible, it said there's one mediator between God and man, that is Jesus Christ. You may have not realize that when it says "one", it didn't mean "only" but "first", because He's the Word made flesh where Heaven meets Earth. We share in His divine mission of connecting each other, all humans back to God. Don't take everything in the Bible literally, you only get crazy. Even Jesus used parables or figures of speech to His followers, but many of them misinterpreted what He meant, the same with those people in the comments maligning the Saints and criticizing the teachings of the Church. May this enlighten you. Get it now??

I believe your explanation is excellent. But I would think that you would agree for most Catholics, their adoration is to the saint. For miraculous healings, blessings etc. Even this video exemplifies this point. Perhaps there really are things in heaven and earth that we have dreamt of in our philosophies. Share ko lang po. Dati when I was still Grade 7, in one particular barangay sa town namin may lalaki na kamukhang kamukha daw ni Padre Pio. My classmates said na bumibisita daw yun palagi sa bahay nila and spreads the words of God. They used to take pictures of him pero usually the phone dies or the phone gets broken right after taking pictures. I actually met him sa may Sto. Nino sa Cebu when I was with that classmate na palaging binibisita niya. His name to them was Tatay Bungoton. Pero hindi na siya bumabalik sa bahay ng classmate ko ngayon. They sure had lots of stories to tell about him. Pero recently I saw him pero I couldn't really tell if its him or not.

It's possible that it's Padre Pio because that is his nature. Nung buhay pa si Padre Pio, he was known for Bilocation. The interesting part is, if it's truly Padre Pio, he felt the need to re-propagate the Catholic faith in the Philippines. Judging by the comments on this video, there seems to be a lot of Filipinos who have fallen away from the traditional catholic faith. That is very sad. Thanks for sharing your experience.
