Our annual Matariki compilation is now playing online. This year, we took inspiration from the whakataukī "Hauhake tū, ka tō Matariki - the harvest ends when Matariki sets.”
One of the themes this year for Matariki is the concept of Heri Kai - The carrying or conveying of food - This year our annual film focuses on the stars in the Matariki cluster that relate to food. Ko Waitī, ko Waitā, ko Tupuānuku rātou ko Tupuārangi.
Through archival film and video, this programme invites you to learn about four of the Matariki stars, and their traditional connections to kai.
