beautiful day and beautiful fish, when skinning your fillets i recommend that you cut a little finger hole to hold onto so your grip dosent slip, its pretty good because you can do it with almost any fish. good job mate

That reversing method works a treat mate, I've started fishing lighter as in pe 1.5-2 and get holed up by trout, rankin, grassies and spangos, get so many fish out just by going back past the bommie and free spooling.

Don't know if you'll ever see this, but if you ever catch another coral trout with the trailing tail tips please document everything with photos and keep the whole fish or at least the frame and give it to the fisheries department as they are rare and may be a hybrid. I have only ever seen one before, caught off Cooktown and it's tail was like a Coranation trout, but clearly a bar cheek up front. I was talking to a fisheries guy and told him about what I had seen and he said this was not a documented sub species and if I ever saw one again to send the information and at least the frame to them. Also , great video as usual.

Get yourself an old ironing board for filleting. Throw a hessian sack on top and its the perfect non slip easily washed off and packed away filleting station you could want.

We're only allowed one trout per day over here in W.A. Maybe target some other fish to mix up your daily catch, would be better for the viewers and ecosystem. It looks like a productive zone for now! Always good to see your fishing missions regardless-
@bowlysfishing9 күн бұрын
The trout over here are very abundant and I always keep well under my limit. Usually only take one or two when I head out by myself chasing them and I only usually chase them once every month or so if that. I do try to mix it up and I did in this video but it just didn’t pan out in the other areas I fished. Thanks for watching 🙏
@jamosdamokos9 күн бұрын
We're actually allowed 1 of each species so if you're lucky enough to come across a common, barcheek and coronation in the same day you can keep 3.
