His only intention or motivation for the interview seems to get someone to say Azhar was the only one penalised while several others got away scott-free..This is so far from truth and reality. The interviewer repeatedly seems to try to put words in the mouth of Ramnarayan. Sadly Ramnarayan also answers "anything is possible" for some of the questions - even for those where an "absolutely not possible " could have been a better answer. Overall a poor discussion!

The interviewer, it appears, has sympathy for Azar. He feels, Azar has been unfairly punished for his 'dealings', because of his religion . The interviewer must know that Azar was punished based on a commission's findings. No doubt, Azar was one of the best batsmen our country has produced. But, taking shelter under religion card is not expected. Sh Ramnarayan has correctly asnwered the biased questions raised by the interviewer.

Azhar was a great player, but shouldn't have been the captain. He was not a captaincy material although he won many matches in Indian because of spin dominance and doctored pitches. Srikkanth didn't deserve to play for a such a long time;. Kapil overstayed much beyond his time and frustrated Azhar. Also, Srinath had to sit down to accommodate Kapil in India matches. Tendulkar was honest, but a bit towards Azhar in his final days. Match fixing spoiled Azhar's career. Ramnarayan is absolutely correct in saying that there was no religious bias in India in Sports.
