I tried to find any trace of her current status online and could not. I enjoyed watching her a lot and I'm glad she won that much. She was very gracious when she lost. You could see her face drop for a moment when she heard the question, but then her smile and her brave face returned.

Nick, from my understanding, episodes #7 and #31-#33 were skipped in 1998 as well and I believe along with the Burns and Cuts episode of Match Game PM, the "Queer" episode of the '73 edition were skipped since 2001 and episode #54 of the PM edition where both players scored 6 times before Round 3 was skipped since its last airing in 2002-03ish(sometime before the Love Connection reruns came into the GSN lineup). Can you think of any other specific Match Game episodes that GSN aired before but started skipping prior to the returns of Rafferty Card Sharks and Blockbusters '87 Nick?

Well, #137 of Match Game '74 was last aired in 2000 or not long after the time compressions(aka speed-ups) were introduced. What about #910 and #935 of Match Game '77? Well according to matchgame.org, GSN did air them, but started skipping those episodes since picking up the reruns of Love Connection and Millionaire I think.

Her husband only agreed to appear on the first bunch of episodes if they agree to cast Brett, at least that's how it started. It didn't hurt either that CBS was trying very hard to get people watching the Perry Mason series that they kept plugging in these episodes. It did not work, because their new version of Perdy Mason flopped. Brett only ever appeared in fewer than ten episodes and the series was quickly cancelled. I don't know the details, I only know someone else commented it on KZbin. Her bantering with Charles, Richard, Betty, and Fannie was also a part of the charm. There wasn't as much zany chaos when Hot Lips and other ladies took Brett's spot on the panel. The chemistry was fun and electric, like a touch of Friar's Club Roast.

It was rigged to get rid of Sue, she was winning too much. Throw in a dumb question, that will get rid of her.
@kevansf2 жыл бұрын
How was it rigged? A question might be dumb or lacking a definitive answer, but the writers and producers had no way of knowing which contestant would get which question, because the challenger picks A or B not knowing which one would ultimately be "easier" or "harder". I actually thought both questions in Sue's final round were rather weak, but Bob got luckier. I don't think Sue was terribly upset - she had $13,000 and a great trip to Europe to look forward to!
@TimCarter2 жыл бұрын
Those were the two most vague questions I ever saw on that show. No reasonable answer for either one. There was no set up, like Howard was so old, when he looked in the mirror, or Marilyn was bowling when she lost half of her blank. I can't recall any other times when they asked questions with no set up. They probably told the challenger to pick B and let the chips fall.
