Richard's answer and delivery starting at 7:41 was incredibly funny and really brought the house down. I love when Charles comes down to give him a kiss, and then says "you are so talented!"
@kevansf2 жыл бұрын
Richard achieves two milestones in one shot today: He was chosen by a contestant for the 100th time (!) and he racked up his 30th H/H match! When it comes to the H/H match, it's pretty much been the Richard Dawson show the past few months. There's a huge gap between his 100 attempts and second-place Brett's 21. Charles and Betty have been chosen 16 times each, so far. Interestingly, it wasn't always this way, and Richard got off to a very slow start as far as the head-to-head match segment: Charles got his first H/H match in episode 37 (his second try), and matched again in episode 38. Brett's first match came in episode 55 (her fifth try). Richard's first match didn't come until his ninth try in episode 58. And, if you look at the stats, when it comes to actually matching the contestant, Richard does a good job at 30% currently (slightly better than Brett), but not as good as other (semi-)frequently chosen celebs, strangely enough... Here's the updated leader board for the 7 celebs to have scored 3 or more H/H matches so far, ranked by their current accuracy scores: Orson - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts). Betty - 50% (8 wins in 16 attempts). Jo Ann Pflug - 46.7% (7 wins out of 15 attempts). Charles - 43.8% (7 wins in 16 attempts). Bert - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). Richard - 30% (30 wins in 100 attempts). Brett - 28.6% (6 wins in 21 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 232, excluding the lost/missing episodes 31, 32, 33.

When only Elaine matches a contestant, you know the contestant gave a dumb answer to a good question. But when every panelist gives a different, usually silly, answer to a question, you know the writers were having an off day and the contestant got screwed. Poor Rolanda, getting stuck with that Dracula question.

15:00 i see where thw luminaries whip their responses out after the losing contestant is about to leave anyhow. i vaguely remember the earliest of shows where all reponses were briefly reviewed, for the edification of home viewers, who are mentally playing along, and might wanna see their own thoughts reflected by a celebrity.

Maybe thankfully I would be safe from a vampire because I have the cousin of psoriasis called eczema, and that includes on my neck. So I would like to think Richard's version is the one I would prefer to exist because it would be one of the only good things I have heard come out of my skin ailment, being safe from a vampire.

Rolanda can barely talk and Teresa is blah. Guess it was difficult to get contestants in those days? After watching more...at least Roland's was happy and excited. That Teresa... if she can't show enthusiasm after getting kissed by Burt Reynolds...she must have been on tranquilizers.
