Kind of another slow week but coming behind Richard win the week again giving away 8,500 dollars in 2 head to head and audience match matches with 15 matches for the regulars. Gary gave away 850 dollars in audience match matches for the semi regulars. Leslie had 13 matches for the semi regulars..

We used to be a literate society and many written works became films because they were already widely known and beloved stories. In fact, there was a Jungle Book film in 1942, so why not claim that it "came out" then instead of when Kipling collected his Mowgli stories in 1894? It isn't as if the book languished in obscurity, long forgotten, until Disney unearthed it in 1967.My copy of the book was printed in 1956, so we were clearly still reading it, just as people still read Sherlock Holmes stories, the Oz books, the Tarzan books, etc.
