In that first question I can't believe no one said CUTTING THE RUG. That's the first thing I thought of. Little play on words. Also, pretty sure what was edited out was whatever Lee said during the hockey question. It must not have been suitable to leave in even for this show. 🤣🤣. You can kind of tell where they edited out the part.

Yea, usually. There are times when I can't tell where it was edited but early on you could tell.. ;0) I think they got better with time editing where you couldn't tell.. ;0)

(I noticed that today Charles joined the other celebs in waving goodbye to the former champion as she was spun off stage, something he normally doesn't do. The fact that they worked together on a successful head-to-head match yesterday might have had something to do with it!) Audience match question: "________ Fish" The celebs: Richard (Gold), Fannie (Tropical), and Lee (Cod) The choice: Gold The answers: Tuna, Gold, Cat Now for a chance at $2500, who will she choose? (I'm going to bet that his initials are RD.) ...yup, it's Richard! Today's H/H question: " Coral ________ " I thought of coral reef immediately, and Richard was already writing his answer. The camera shot was a little tighter to his chest than usual, so I couldn't watch him write until the very end, so I have no idea how long his answer might be, but it sort of seemed longer than four letters to me. After getting one more clarification on the spelling of "coral," she answers "reef" and receives an enthusiastic audience response. Then Gene oddly asks her if there could be any other kind of "coral," seemingly forgetting (for a moment at least) the word "choral" as in choral music, choral arrangement, choral ensemble, etc. Anyway, back to Richard and his typical fake-out attempt before revealing "Reef." Richard scores his 146th H/H match. This is his second consecutive match, and his score now climbs ahead of Betty's! He's far and away the most successful H/H matcher of the three regulars, but he still has a way to go to catch Fannie.
