The MG PM seems to be quicker than daytime version of longer periods for answers . I miss the music beat of the daytime episodes especially in the 73-76 versions .

Have you ever noticed that Gene (and some of the celebrities on the panel) Can't stand it when the contestant is funny?? It's like they get visibly annoyed if the contestant is upstaging them with humor. Gene always just stares at them with an irritated look and then turns away as he grunts "yea...Okay...ANYway, back to the game..." He did this with Charlie (who was a very witty contestant!) a few times. The audience was giving him big laughs while Gene scowled and the celebrity panel sat silent and stone faced.

Match Game PM was the nighttime syndicated version of the show. The CBS version aired every weekday and the PM version aired once a week. The nighttime version had 3 rounds to the 2 for the daytime version and was considered more risque.

Why did Richard Dawson not look the same anymore in Match Game PM? He didn't have that cuteness that the ladies like any longer, I just can't figure it out. I realize he was working on Family Fued at this juncture and so I supposed there's a chance he had some facial surgery or something, taking away his handsomeness, but it's just really odd. watch the episode again from the beginning and tell me what has happened to that likable face?

Because unlike some of the others who played for the joke he took the game seriously and 9/10 times always matched. If he was picked the chances of winning were prettt good.

EXACTLY it's so boring picking the same person every time n 9 out of 10 times he'll no its not that high more like 6 or 7 out of ten times I've watched every episode he gets help from the people on his left n right a LOT of the time it shows you the contestants are idiots when a lot of the time he gets help
