When ABC brought back all the classic games they did, including this show, Card Sharks, The $100,000 Pyramid, and Press Your Luck, the smartest thing they did was reuse the classic soundtracks, including this theme, to help give it somewhat of a retro feel, even though we are in a new day and age. The difference is the the first three played two complete games in a show; PYL has their new million dollar bonus round. And it's about time somebody conquers that and wins a million dollars!
