Are you going to talk about Stoke's No 9? delivered nasty cynical afters on Bogle, Ampidou, Jones, and finally got a yellow for the shoulder charge into Meslier's back. How was he on the pitch?
@mjw123Күн бұрын
Was praying Ampadu would absolutely smash him into row Z but Farke was in maximum Kofi Annan mode spoiling the retribution plot

Aaronson's best game of this season so far. Great to have Ampadu back on the park.
@jmsunlinenet13 сағат бұрын
Aaronson is a pretty useful player but it is a pity that he panics every time he gets close to goal and if he shoots he usually scuffs his shot or blooters it over the bar. Improving, but he needs a lot more practice at shooting.

It is good to rotate players in an unpredictable manner because it prevents opponents from forming a plan. Stoke City have probably figured out how they were going to play Tanaka. We became a bit predictable last season with Summerville cutting in from the left wing and hitting a right footed curling shot to the far post.
@mjw123Күн бұрын
Aaronson finally realised as a 10 his main purpose is to link up with Piroe not every other player. He eventuality did that and quelle surprise the ice man scores. Aaronsons best pass of the season turns out to be his least complex Less is more Brendan !

And a delightful absence of him wanting to fake pass/shot everything

I prefer Bielsa: no player is more important than any other. A football team is a collective with interchangeable parts, ideally of course.

I don't agree that Ampadu was particularly good in this game, I feel he too often slowed the game down unnecessarily when we're playing high tempo stuff, I don't think that Farke's assessment of him being his most important player helps either Ampadu or the team, it's only teams that are successful no one player has ever won promotion alone.

Tanaka, Geldhardt and Bamford will leave in January
@LeoDragon34Күн бұрын
Gelhardt and Bamford, sure. Tanaka, not a chance. We’re not getting rid of one of our best players in January.
@jeffgleisner89016 сағат бұрын
I don't see much similarity in their passing, the way they strike the ball or characteristic body shapes. They can - and should, - play together. Rothwell can rotate with Arensen.
@pinkfloyd8707 сағат бұрын
I do not think we will sell Tanaka, if there is a serious chance we are in the Premier League next season. Too hard to replace for the money.... (unless silly offers come in)
@LeoDragon344 сағат бұрын
@ Tanaka has quickly become one of our key players. Silly money means compensating for not getting promoted and then losing a whole load of other key players. That would have to be really silly money, as in £200m. We’re not selling Tanaka in this window.
