Im from PE in South Africa. I played club cricket and other leagues for many years after school in my 20s and 30s but stopped around 2017 as conditions here have become literally too dangerous and I'm afraid of injuries and I have no medical insurance. At school I was a good leg spinner, but after school I became a wicket keeper and opening batsman, the pinch hitter type like Gayle lol. Was great fun while it lasted but cricket has sadly become very political here and all about money so they do not maintain the fields and the pitches and many players have become seriously injured as a result. My fondest memory was probably when I became the first (and still the only) player in PE to score a T20 century off 40 balls on Old Grey field (1 of only 2 fields in the city that are decent to play on), and then offcourse some of the great catches I took as keeper on snake pit pitches were out of this world lol. I love all sports and played many many of them but cricket was my first love, the first one I learnt and became good at, and will always treasure the memories. :)
