Great video, I've never tried yuzu in a sour, but now I want to! And good choice on the whiskey, Teeling is really reliable whiskey for cocktails!
@CocktailUnderground2 жыл бұрын
Try it! I like the Teeling a lot, and look forward to trying it in some different things. One of my Shaker and Spoon boxes has a cocktail called "Dublin After Dark" that I'll probably try it in next.

I order a similar drink at a local sushi place, except they use Japanese whiskey Suntory Toki and add lemon juice as well. Everything else seems the same. It is to die for!
@CocktailUnderground2 ай бұрын
Nice! Yeah, green tea and whiskey go great together! I'd try this with Suntory for sure. I actually have a bottle on my shelf. I feel like both Japanese and Irish whiskeys have a pretty light and delicate flavor profile, so they'd both work. I actually thought to myself "why didn't I use Suntory?" and then I remembered I used the Teeling because it was a St. Pat's vid. Thanks so much for the comment!

We love whisk(e)y and Japanese ingredients, so there's always yuzu juice, matcha (we even have yuzu matcha!), and whiskey on hand. We'll have to try this one! It's illegal to import yuzu fruit and plants into the state of Georgia, but we just ordered seeds. In about 5 years we'll be the only farm in the state to offer fresh yuzu!
@CocktailUnderground2 жыл бұрын
Cool! I might look into getting the seeds too... or just give you a call in 5 years or so!

I remember having Matcha once, it was a terrible idea. I must not have stirred or shaken it up enough because the powder just didn't break down and made me gag. So, we don't work well together anymore LOL. BUT, your drink looks awesome! And, of course, whiskey makes everything better.
@CocktailUnderground2 жыл бұрын
I think it worked pretty well in this since you have to shake it so much anyway. I really like the matcha on its own. I saw that you can get a whisk to dissolve it better and even give it a bit of a froth. Definitely something I may want to experiment with.
