I like the teaser bit at the beginning of the videos….One of the most beautiful designs ever to roll out of a factory. You really dodged a bullet with the great shape that glass piece was in, lucky break. Man this project was more detailed than I thought at first. Good to know this is your favorite Lambo…..hmmm. Yes, I got lucky with the windshield. Had to work a bit harder on the louvre cover and the wheels though. In the end, it was a worthy save of a classic. We had guests for dinner last night, and the twin boys each left with a couple of 1:64 Miura castings and a pair of Corvettes, among other castings! ☕️🍁👍😎

Andrew, been waiting a few days for a moment to sit and enjoy this video. And boy, it didn't disappoint. You really pulled out all the stops bringing this one back from the ash heap. It's a transformed museum piece and yeah, those tires really finish the look. And what was it with Lesney/Matchbox putting trailer hitches on EVERYTHING? If there's a Muria out there in history that actually towed a trailer, I'd be surprised. But I guess they wanted all their vehicles to be compatible, or something like that. Yet another triumph in Switzerland, as witnessed here in Virginia, USA.

You know the movie! That was a heart crushing (and Miura crushing) scene... The San Bernardino Pass where it was filmed is not far from me. 🍁☕️👍👊

@@MapleLeafCustoms to be fair from the DVD Commentary they said the one that goes over the clif was already wrecked beyond repair. Hence why you don't see the crash and it has no engine in it. Also the Aston Martin was switched out with a car that was mocked up to look like it (they did the same in skyfall) before taking it's plung off the clif. Even better the two Jags and 3 of the minis (one of each color) were restored after the movie. Sadly the only one not to survive was the bus as it used as a school bus until the 80s then scrapped. This one my favourite films, hence why I know so much about the cars.

great colouring and detailing. I love the wheels as well. ^^ and good thought on the gold trim. another version could have been the sole racing prototype they made named Iota. aerodynamic front and rear spoilers, and painted all jet-black. I have a model kit of it, would have to see who made it... anyway, the Miura was also the first supercar with large flip-open front and rear, allowing access to anything vital at once. where all other cars had tiny lids and bonnets and everything hidden. maybe die to the proposed racing career? having easy access can be vital during a race.
