Of course no player is essential but Mbappe has a 1.13 goal involvement per 90 for France and will probably end up being easily the top World Cup goalscorer in 2 years. I like his chances to get lots of points.

I think he is more of a clutch player, but against teams like this he will be able to score a goal, but as I said against these opponents I don't know if he will always play

Lukaku scores pretty much all of Belgium's goals and de bruyne will probably get most of the assists. Trossard should get good minutes but wouldn't expect him to get a goal involvement in every game cuz Belgium just tend to play the ball to lukaku and let him do his thing

Not understanding why limitless gw3 allows you to dodge rotation? Unless your gonna fill up with players from Austria and Turkey etc you will be in same boat as the people not using the chip.

It's not really the same boat because I'll be able to change all 15 players, hoping to guess a bit of rotation etc. Might not work out but that's the plan. Some big teams may still have something to play for but not everyone will be on the exact players etc. Ultimately you have 3 matchdays to use 2 chips so don't overthink it too much, just pick when you're using them and hope for the best.

With the theory on cheap players better earlier - it’s not really applying to enablers. They are there to enable anyway. It’s more that if you are taking a risky punt you aren’t sure on, eg the 7m Georgian midfielder, ideal if they play early. With the big guns like mbappe and Bruno late. Just feels a better insurance policy

Andy, what you miss regarding cheap players should play early on can be illustrated with the following extreme example: 1) lets say you have 4 enablers all play on day 1-2, and produce 5 pts each. Now it is day 3 and you need to bring in a high value player from your bench like Doku or X. Simons. You will have much more confidence to bring in a high value player to replace one of the enablers. 2) whereas if 4 of your high value players play on day1-2 and bring 5 pts each you are not likely to replace any of them for an enabler like the Georgia mid for 4.5 because the exp pts from the enablers is less than 5 pts. So you lose some flexibility to play your full squad and exploit manual subs.

Before the first matchday starts today you have unlimited options to change, after that you get 2 free substitutions between each group stage matchday (one matchday equals every team playing one match, so its like 5-6 days)

Andrea cambiaso won't start. He's only just broken into the italy team and both di lorenzo and darmian would be ahead of him at rwb in a 3-4-2-1 or rb in a 4-3-3. Alessandro Buongiorno isn't the most likely to start in either formation because bastoni, mancini, and darmian should all be ahead of him as the CBs. Di marco and mancini would be the best defensive picks for Italy but mancini is also likely to pick up a few yellows and probably most likely of the defenders to get a red because he can be very erratic

Frimpong could potentially be a very explosive differential captain for matchday 1 if you’re willing to go against Kane. Netherlands play first on that day, so we can see if he starts before captaining him.

Yes, you'll lose Gundogan's captaincy points. But you can change the captain again later for someone who plays later in this matchday (e.g. Mbappe etc).

I've gone for Chiesa over Lukaku in md1 and kept the 1.5 in my bank to switch back... I fancy Italy's attack against Albania and I'd just swap him out md2

If Chiesa can reach the heights again of euro 2020 he could be a decent shout but even then, Italy has never been aggressive in attack and win games from the back and counter attack. Lukaku can 'flop' to some degree, but he's guaranteed returns. 1.5m is way too much to leave itb btw

Your argument about subbing players only works if they either blank or do great, but playing order still matters if they get a "decent" score. If Chakvetadze scores 7 points, would you sub him for Bruno? Probably yes, you take the gamble because Bruno has a high ceiling. If Bruno scores 7 points, would you sub him for Chakvetadze? Probably not. That said, you probably have a few players who blank anyway, if they all get decent or better, you don't need your Chakvetadze, so I wouldn't say it matters that much.

@@LetsTalkFPL I believe he has worked his way through friendlies played to be starting. Front 3 could be Jota through the middle flanked by CR 7 & Leao or vice versa. we know Jota can play anywhere across the front 3. Thats the advantage i like with him.
