I suppose the pallet thing is because your hitbox is where your feet are and when you're running you're angled forward so your hitbox is slightly behind you. So at the pallet your hitbox is still going through the pallet area as you're dropping it where as when standing still makes your hitbox already be on the other side of the pallet. I think typically you either has lots of time to stand at the pallet or no time so I dunno how useful that information is really. If the reverse were true you could do a little running start pallet drop even when you have time to stand at the pallet, but it doesn't work that way so it's always good to do a standing pallet drop if you have the time for it

@@sapphicseas0451I think when you throw the pallet standing, your hit box stays on your spot so the killer has less chances to hit you. But when you run, your hit box is a bit behind you, so the killer has more chances to hit you.

I don't understand people like that tbh. It's not even the fact that he doesn't help that bothers me, it's the fact he's staying around. If you're not gonna heal your teammate, unhook or protect them, why are you still in the trial ? All he accomplished was blocking a teammate who was running away from the killer. In the same vibe, sometimes you have one teammate trapped inside the trial, in a chase with the killer, dead on hook, and their only salvation would be to find hatch. Yet, for some reason, you'll often have one or two teammates staying behind and waiting at the gate. Doing literally nothing but wait. Then they leave once they see the other person is on the floor. What was the whole point of that ? Leaving if you can't/aren't able to help isn't even a DbD thing, it's about logic, so it's not like they can really excuse it on "I'm kinda new."

@@Libellulaire no literally and the other day i got so pissed at my teammate bc we were so close to winning. was a 2 v 1, both on deathhook doing last gen it was like 90% then the killer came and started chasing me. i was getting chased for literally like 5 minutes straight and instead of doing the gen ( i had adrenaline ) my teammate was cleansing totems and opening chests and then got back on the gen once i got downed. LIKE WTF??

So glad the Halloween event is over. It was obnoxious for both sides, as survivor your position was constantly given away because of the random orbs and your teammates would never do gens or get saves because they were running around the void, but then as killer you just couldn't go into the void without losing all of your pressure in a match. It felt so bad all around. But the rewards were cool.

00:57 He already explained it but imma explain it again lol. I think what he means is if you just stand there aka "camp" your hitbox is going to be inside the pallet. Whereas if you keep running and throw the pallet your hitbox is still moving forward therefore away from the pallet. Also, it would help to search up DBD hitboxes bc their hitboxes are like beans. If you search it up you'll know what I mean. But basically, the bean-like hitbox surrounds the character rather than the hitbox being the character itself.

That wasn't what he was saying. He was saying that BOTH camping and just running through will lead to you getting hit, because your hit box is either still or lagging behind you. What he's recommending is running through early, then doubling back, so your hit box is no longer in the pallet area, THEN throwing down the pallet. I thought players did this to mind game only, because it works that way too. But it makes sense that it helps your hit box clear the pallet area because you're running BACK to it from the other side of it.

Your hitbox is more accurately represented by your feet but the running animation makes your survivor model lean forward, meaning your feet (hitbox) is still in the pallet area even though it looked like you’re on the other side of the pallet, when versing a bubba its better to run through and run back to a pallet cause now your feet is on the other side of the pallet.

I don't actually think Dwight was playing bad, I think he was trolling. At 11:50 you can see Dwight is sprinting in front of Ayrun, drops to walking which bodyblocks Ayrun who gets downed, and immediately Dwight starts sprinting again. That looks like trolling to me. The killer then dropped Ayrun off at the gate and went for Dwight instead. Maybe she saw the block.

also a theory i have that seems to work is about when you're able to stun bubba with a pallet and when not. it seems that when bubba has his chainsaw visually at the side mostly on bubba's left side you can stun him. if the chainsaw is visually at his front (at his belly) you can't stun him because the chainsaw hitbox is in the middle at that point.
