Wow...I thought, is that cigarettes and alcohol, and was right! I thought I was the only 1 that still listened to those guys. Nice job. Amp sounds amazing! This is how the black crows got those amazing tones back in the 90s and early 2000s. Simply flawless, buttery tones out of this thing, but you definitely pay for every watt!!

This might b the new best el84 amp. Every time Phil does little tweak to the design (Avalon for example) he always manages to squeeze some magic out of the circuit! Can you do Avalon on this channel?
Was that silversun pickups at the end? Oh and that strat is the most beautiful shade of blue I've seen.

Thanks! That's "Valerie" by The Zutons. Great tune. Amy Winehouse also did a cover of it that got pretty big! Congrats on the amp!
@gregbradshaw72202 жыл бұрын
Is the tone the same ?
@MWallis22 жыл бұрын
Not even close. I sold the HC-15 and bought a C-30. The 15 is a great amp but it sounds thing and super bright compared to the 30. It’s definitely closer to the classic Vox tone. Depends what sound you’re going for.
@mrbuttons1243 Жыл бұрын
Ha, I wondered about that. Its half the wattage but also half the weight of the HC30. There's got to be more changes than just two less el84s. Maybe much smaller transformers?
@MWallis2 Жыл бұрын
@@mrbuttons1243 Definitely smaller trannies. That’s why the amp is so much lighter and also lacking the girth of the C-30 (even on half power). There are PLENTY of players that will love the C-15 for its chimey and bright character, and many that will prefer it over the C-30. But it is absolutely not a C30 on half power.

amazing demo! awesome amp, wicked player, what's not to love? love my hc-30 and 4x10 to death, but this is tempting... how does it differ to the lightning?
@matchlessamps93534 жыл бұрын
Channel 1 of the C-15 is essentially the Lightning, Channel 2 is the Nighthawk so you get both amps in one.

What's going on at 5:50? I'm clearly hearing a stereo delay pattern but there's only 1 amp in the video.
@ZachWish4 жыл бұрын
Hey there. I added the ping pong delay in post with the Waves H Delay. Was going for that Edge kind of stratty tone and he generally has a really snazzy stereo setup so this was the budget way of approximating that ;). The only other post work was a hair of reverb and bringing the overall level up to commercial volumes with the FabFilter Pro L. Thanks so much for checking out the video!

Sounds simply amazing guys 🙌🏼 I see it says effects loop in the description of this video, but the ones I’m seeing for sale on reverb don’t have an effects loop. Would that be a special order thing from you guys?
@matchlessamps93534 жыл бұрын
The effects loop is standard on all C-15s. You may have seen one for sale that we built a while back as a custom model.
