Man I am really just not a fan of how they still kept the weird mish mash classes like "Forza GT" that lump in modern gt3 cars, GTE's, Early gen gt2's, australian v8 supercars... Trans am 2 cars... SRO GT1 sports club cars that really arent even "raced" at all..... These cars in reality would be NO WHERE NEAR on the same playing field as each other, australian v8 supercars and trans am 2 wouldnt even be close to gt3's with their aero advantage. Yet they all drive like they are on equal performance, it just doesnt feel like a "sim" to me. I was hoping with the reboot that turn 10 would make some effort to focus more on the "motorsport" aspect and design more proper classes where cars from around the same series/generation could race together. I still feel like the best class structure we got in a "sim cade" type game was project cars 2. The classes were just realistic enough to seem believable while still giving us a good choice in cars per class.

I'd have to agree with most of what you said about the bad driving, there are definitely a whole bunch of w@nkers in FM. However I also have to say that I think 40%-50% of the bad driving is down to the fact that anybody driving in any of the First Person views is severely disadvantaged because there is no way to tell where the other cars are round you. The proximity arrows only work in chase mode and are completely useless otherwise

One of my favourite things is being 3rd fastest in the lobby and your car wasn’t even specifically tuned for the track, nor do you know if they used softs or had 1 tank of fuel left and so finding extra time due to a track error just goes to show you that you’re quick! Such a good feeling tbh

It's mostly in the suspension. You have to tune it based on the car's weight distribution. So with the 911 you have to put 28 more kgf/mm on the rear, which gives EVEN MORE oversteer 😃

There isn't a top split in Forza sadly. The way matchmaking works sets it up that you will end up generally with a wide range of skils ratings. At 4980 rating, it's not unusual for me to find myself in a lobby where I am 1 second a lap faster than the closest guy, and over 10 seconds faster a lap than the slowest guy. Matchmaking builds lobby too fast, separating into buckets by safety it appears, but not enough join before a lobby fills for it to matter the skill rankings.

Im 7 races in. S class rated and still have never had a penalty on an online race. Ive been spun out several times and they get minimal penalties. One guy got 1st with 7 penalties while i had 3rd with zero

There's nothing more infuriating than being rammed into a spin and watching your tires turn the crap after because of it. You'd think losing time would be enough a punishment but no, you also have to replace your tires as well to add to the absolute hell. There's really no incentive to be clean when penalties are so spotty and ramming someone into oblivion only costs a few seconds to yourself but dozens to the person you ran over. The incentives are completely out of whack in this game.

Im on the verge of uninstalling. I havent had a rollercoaster. Its been nothing but submerged in the depths of bullshit. I cant brake into a corner ever, without getting rearended and thrown into the wall or dirt. @Ermz It wouldn't surprise me if that is the cause. I have seen a lot of top drivers and livery designers take a step away due to the games rocky launch. It would be nice to have a full lobby within a second a lap in pace without signing up for a weekly organised race at TORA for example. It's in these moments I feel we learn the most as drivers. At least for now, that pace variation makes for some fun lobbies starting from the back. 😁

When you go into a lobby solo as a "top split driver" as you put it, you're matched with people 3-4 seconds off pace currently You're not bad so I get that you expected actual matchmaking, but actual top splits wouldn't allow you to gain 18 positions lol

They are all nice people and in my experience they make a party of like 12 before joining a race and it truly becomes "top split". Yes, when you're in the car tuning window, there's a button for "Setup Manager" at the bottom. There you can save your tunings.

1:28 car 69 is in front and you supposed to be the more experienced racer, and didn't let him take the racing line, points well deserved, 1:32 he still in front, you either try deny him his line knowing he spin out, because of the way 69 came across your front and producer of classic pit, although you didn't deliberately pit, you should maybe have known better...

There was an entire track width of room but the 69 still tried pushing Ermz off track. That was a dirty block by the 69.

He wasn’t ahead or else there wouldn’t have been any contact he knew there was a car along side but looked like he didn’t care and when contact was made he continued to turn left. You can’t just pretend there isn’t a car there to suit your race that’s not how it works. Once you see 0.01 in the time split that means a car is along side you but people don’t care he obviously knew a pass was about to happen and reacted that’s called blocking not defending. If he wanted to defend that line he should have gone left sooner but was all over the place to block anyone attempting a pass that’s just bad race craft. You can see when the yellow car was about to pass he moved to the right that was his one defense move then he saw another car on the outside and moved again to block.

4950+ here. I totally understand people ramming intentionally and unintentionally into a corner. This is just the unfortunate truth of racing online with all manor of randoms. What I cannot fathom is the sheer disdain by fellow racers in a fricking straight line!! If someone has been behind me for a few laps and is obviously quicker and they manage to get better traction out of the last corner , just let them past. Your literally recking both of yours and theirs race by sideswiping anyone thats clean through. Half of the battle and genuine enjoyment is racing bumper to bumper over several laps allowing each other just enough space for driving a decent timed lap. If others are faster then practice your skills in driving , not swiping. Go play nfs or burnout.

There is no such thing as "top split" in Forza. The lobby fills up with the first people that sign up, regardless of safety or driver rating, and then it's full.

for all the haters as further you got with skill points as better game it becomes I noticed changed with 4930 skill point currently 4960. Its not a flex just letting you know if you back off and avoid collisions and try to not fall to far from your qualifying position then after you reach proper skill points game will change. Little hack for you either do a bad time in qualifying if you good driver and +10 positions after the race will increase your skill point big time or q1 and p1 in race will earn you maximum amount of skill points which vary's. sometimes I get 10points sometimes less. But having like 3000 or 4000 SP you will earn even 20+ SP. The main fail of T10 that they needed to start SP with 1500 as all simulators and 5000 sp being the top tier drivers. When now after 3 race if finished in podium you get like 4500 which I think is BS

The game won’t change if you’re not in the front row lol I’ve been at 4999 for the past week and still get the occasional rammers who try to win the whole race in turn one. Not to mention the matchmaking is still broken and pairs me with noobs who are like 5-10 seconds off my lap times it’s not even fun when you can just run away with it. Rarely do I get races where there’s an equal skilled player most of the time they can only keep up with the OP slipstream but once i break away it’s pretty much just me doing hot laps for 7-10 laps lol. I agree tho the game should have started people at a lower skill rating and safety rating. All you really have to do is complete the 3 intro races and you get placed at around 4500 and get an S safety rating which is kinda ridiculous. I think everyone should have started out E and worked their way up but now all it takes a Smurf or a bad player holding back on the featured races and they can easily get into higher split lobbies.

Again you are right and maybe you are the fastest. Im not and I do have some proper battles. Or maybe Im just lucky to get joined with them. I noticed noob connection when playing in weird hours like after midnight or mornings as mentioned. Which is really not fun. I think it will be a shock to everyone when it will be fixed and for bad performance it will be -1000. But today it is pointless MP and pointless game to play as there is no achievement. Apart from finishing first. When for example ACC or iRacing you grind for weeks to earn 100 points. Which forces you to stay in game and keep grinding.

So Forza and lower class racing games kind of more entertaining just plug and play when it feels to race good. in real sim you have to finish University. That said the LFM and ACC is proper mess. Because its like middle child of Forza and GT7 like if we take % from release of FM I had much more fun and better battles then ACC or LFM because its a proper shit show.

@@dbzcollector9963I don’t think the matchmaking is strictly skill based. I’m about middle of the pack, 2800-3000 skill and there’s a very wide disparity between 1st and last. Maybe the game does it to make it easier to fill up lobbies.

@@LTHRacing well that’s not exactly true cause in the morning for me is around the peak time for sim racers in the UK and I tend to get cleaner races it’s usually when I get on around the afternoon when it’s night time for the UK and all the kids are off school that races seem to get more dirty. Time of day doesn’t really matter tho cause I still get the occasional dirty race any time of day. I’m not saying all my lobbies are like that tho I’ve definitely had some clean races but not always and at almost max rating you would think that you would get only clean races.

How do you determine your strategy for tire selection? I feel like never know when I should a hard, medium, or soft compound.

Medium races almost always do best with medium compound and one pitstop. Some tracks like lemans with huge pits are better on a single set of hards. Experiment!

Last Forza race I’m gonna watch from you. Videos are good, don’t get me wrong, you make great videos, I’m just not sold on Forza. I was interested on getting Forza but after watching a bunch of videos from all the SIM Racer KZbinrs, it just doesn’t do it for me. I’m just gonna get back to GT7 because the new 1.40 update is good.

Right. The devs don't seem to know that the car moving across the track is at fault. Not the one driving in a straight line.
