I like this kid. He’s got a lot going for him regarding his chosen profession. Firstly, his youth. As a heavyweight, it could be another eight to ten years before he hopefully gets his world title shot. Secondly, having a dad like that, who supports his son with such love is brilliant. Thirdly, the Tibbs, Mark and Jimmy, know their boxing. Great coaches. I like to see this kid boxing fairly regularly at this stage. As Mark say’s, he’s got everything, except experience. Obviously, as the fights get harder, Johnny will box only twice a year. I’m glad he doesn’t have weight issues, with all those tasty treats around. Bosh!!!

JMM had 46 amateur fights and you say that's short? I'd say 20 and below is a short amateur career anything over that you should know how to handle yourself in a ring and not be out of your depth turning pro. when you factor in the amount of sparring and training you've put in between those 20+ fights you should have a good idea weather you want to take that next step in to paid ranks.
