barry played quite positive there. Easy to get bogged down and wait for the other player to make a mistake, but Barry wasn't having that. Mark is sublime as always.

snooker players none too bright about this situation most times - you can easily sacrifice seven points early in the frame to get a good cue ball from the same shot rather than fall into a fool's lottery, and as the superior player by any metric, Mark should recognise that

Or maybe they know that you risk being in a difficult position once your opponent lets you play from that position or that you might unintentionally leave him a free ball. Once the black ball disappears it's hard to have a "good cue ball without risking that, since there are reds near the hole.

The referee should be able to disqualify both players for behaving like jerks and making everyone to waste time with those shots. Renowned players to make it worse
