Man this song hits me hard in the early 2000’s. I love it, back when I was in my early 20’s and obsessed ❤️

Good old Jerry Forsythe. And the incomparable Michaela Tabb. Then Steve Davis! And Jim Wych! Excellent commentary all around. An amazing nail biting game. Congratulations to both players.

Wow that foul shot at rack 29 was an unexpected disaster for Kuo. That failure costed him a cup.

Same thing almost happened to Francisco Bustamante in 2002 against Earl Strickland. He was on his way to win it all, the cue ball scratched, and Earl won 4 straight racks to steal the title.

Well, I started watching, hoping for a clinic, but man. This is interesting. They both dogged plenty of shots and at least two significant miscues. Kuo's pr-strokes go left and right also. What an interesting pre-stroke. Wu's stroke looks like it goes right and left a little, but Kuo's is dramatic, INTERESTING. They were both OBVIOUSLY ultra-high-caliber players. They just had off-days. I'm curious if the game has changed since then. They seemed to leave themselves straight much more often, hit shots harder more frequently, and rely much more on the draw shot than current pros. Pros use pocket speed much more often now, right?

It was the final game. Must be the nerve. I watched the entire championship and from memory they were both very precise during prior rounds

I noticed that unsteady direction of the cue as well. But for that, the outcome might have been very different. Sometimes one wonders how the open versus the closed bridge hand might have made a difference. I'm thinking the break showed some of Bustamante's influence was in play.

After Wu Cha Qing won his lone world tittle, he was never been able to duplicate this and never wins any major tittle since 2005. Makes me think he was just a 1 hit wonder.

What happened to this Wu? He's not the same anymore.. plays slower.. seems to doubt himself. The young Wu was a teenage monster!

@@paxconsciente3352 lol nothing special. He's won the World Cup of pool, 2 china opens and was runner up to Filler in the US open. He's widely regarded as one of the top5 players in the world if not the best.

@@MJH211 bullshit, he's nowhere near to be considered even top 10-15 in the world. he's had a few good tournaments in the last 17 years and that's it. he really is nothing special now.
