Very happy with this phone. It's awesome. My wife had it for 1 month before I had to order her a S9 plus because she didn't like the EMUI Interface. I saw an immediate regret in her face after seeing that the battery life and charging were inferior to the Huawei's, I'm not giving it back though 😂 It's a great phone and with some tweaking like making the screen layout as a drawer for the apps it brings back the stock Android feel that you were used to Google pixel or Samsung. Total recommendation.

Hi, I had the same issue that the phone did not accept the new battery. Luckily I found a workaround in a German newsgroup: 1) Boot up the device using the original Battery 2) connect an USB charger to the mobile 3) Disconnect the original batery and connect the new one ( you have to be quite fast, if the phone shuts down during the change you have to go back to step 1) 4) charge the phone for about 10 minutes and check if the batteryindicator moves up. 5) restart the phone and double check that the new battery is accepted. I’ve tested this method and it worked for me.

I bought this phone at the start of the month. Never realised the charging and speaker combo. I guess never having to charge the phone works a dream and it charges a very handy percentage with only 10-30 minutes of charge! :P I've also thrown this phone across my kitchen by mistake and dropped my mac onto the camera back. No marks/damage though was like omg moments ahaha

I just got that Phone for Christmas and i'm happy with it. I got to admit that the Sound is Kind of lousy while charging it, but to watch a KZbin vid, you can let it Charge for 10 Minutes and the enjoy the full Sound with 35% additional battery. Sound without anything plugged in is very good.

I just bought one 2 months ago for $300 USD, open box from China but it's a global variant. Love this phone. Too bad most US carriers refuse to transmit over it. But it'll be getting put through the paces in Panamá! In Panamá they have no fear of the Huawei brand. In fact there's a Huawei store in the Allbrook Mall. I used my dual sim Mate 9 there before with Claro and Tigo without a hitch.

I think because of the 40W supercharge and the 4200 mAH battery there will be no problem with the speaker inside the type C port because the phone can charge instantly in the morning as you prepare for your job and be able to hold on easily till the next morning

It's my beloved one because it is so well made cool design and specs. Nowdays in 2021-2022 we get crap phones they rush everything and sell us middle quality for 1.5K and the flagships 2.5K.....Mate 20 Pro was the CREAM of smartphones at the time and still rocks today in 2022 also Huawei just announced yesterday that MIUI 12{ Android 12 } is coming for it soon.I have aniPhone 12 Pro Max as my daily driver but Mate is waay higher in terms of Hardware quality and it is a 2018 Flagship.....beating the crap of 2021 phones :)) BTW it runs Diablo Immortal on ultra settings with no sweat.....

I think the Mate 20 X is probably a better buy for me. It's missing water resistance, a 1440p display, face ID and wireless charging, but it also keeps the heaphone jack.
