#Photocatalysts and #fuel cells are two central examples of #sustainable #energy application. But what is a photocatalyst and why is the study of black and grey titania interesting? What is the role of #oxygen vacancies and impurities? And how do high temperature #polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells function? Can the carbon monoxide tolerance be improved? And in general: why is a length bridging #characterization needed to tailor energy materials? Christina Scheu gives insights into her research answering these questions.
This seminar is part of a seminar series "Coffee with Max Planck".
