Your hair looks beautiful and healthy. I hope I'm getting this correct, so when they did the transplant, they removed hair from the suture area to install in the front area which was damaged from braids and weaves. I can see that you now have hair growing in that area. How do you work with this area now that you have the new hair.
@Mateyena6 жыл бұрын
Yes that is exactly what happened, for now i don't put anything in that area as I want it to completely heal first, I use a little neosporin in that area which the doctor gave me.

Did your scabs come out with white stuff and some hair? And do you remember when the hairs first started shedding..just had mines..I’m 9 days post op and I get so nervous when washing..I just keep watching your videos over and over. Thanks for sharing

by the 12 th days my scabs were completely out and all the hair did shed. I don't remember any white stuff I didn't pay that much attention but I remember the hair falling off with the scabs.

Hey - I just had this procedure done too and no shaving to my natural hair on the top (I have a fringe) my question is after your first wash were you able to have your natural hair cover your transplanted area or did you have to keep it off that part? Thanks :)
@Mateyena5 жыл бұрын
I used a head scarf to cover the area until all the scabs fell off and then I used my own hair to cover the area.

I also wanted to ask what you would recommend to wear on your head to go to work? I have a headband/ a loose wig but do I think it’s ok to wear on day 6 post op?

Any rules when caring for the rest of your hair? Like applying different products. I imagine it being hard to keep products away from the transplant area

I don't apply products to the transplanted area, however I do know some products will get on the area and That is perfectly fine according to my Doctor.

Hey Mateyena, I also wanted to ask you, how did you use that antibiotic cream at the incision site, donor area, I'm just having hard time applying it correctly/appropriately since I can't ""visibly" see the back of my head, lol
@Mateyena6 жыл бұрын
My hair is a little long so I make a bun on top and one at the bottom and it leaves an open gap which makes it easy for me. But if this is not an option for you you can use 2 mirrors for front and back or get someone to help. You can also do it by feeling the shaved area and you should be fine.
@abedbecky6 жыл бұрын
@@Mateyena yes, that's a great advice. But they gave us a tiny amount of that antibiotic cream...just 2 or 3 applications and it's all gone! Or did u buy extra just incase?
@Mateyena6 жыл бұрын
I never repurchase the cream, I only used what they gave me.
@ash86marie4 жыл бұрын
aBen Cha o guess they do it differently now. I was given a 3day supply of antibiotic pills not a cream

Hey, i just did the procedure today with Dr. Huebner....oh my! Did u have to use the ice on your face to limit the swelling? I'm not swelling at all and I'm thinking maybe i don't need to use ice....advice?
@Mateyena6 жыл бұрын
The same doctor did my procedure, I used the ice pack first day and realized I wasn't swelling, however I was advised to keeping icing as swelling peaks on the 3rd and 4th day, so I will say ice until after those days just to be safe, and if no swelling you can stop. Don't take that chance.
@abedbecky6 жыл бұрын
@@Mateyena Sure! I will do that. Today being day 1, post op, i just don't want to touch my face near the transplanted area, I'm literally walking around my hotel like a eobit, lol. But starting tomorrow I'll start using the ice daily. And just to let you know, since i may not be using any medication for future hair growth, as most people do, I've decided to try the supplement "Biotin (High Potency) 5000mcg" ....to help quicken my hair growth. It's the MOST high rated hair supplement ever, with 5 star rating by nearly 10k verified users, according to Amazon reviews. Are u taking any hair meds yourself?
@Mateyena6 жыл бұрын
Just ice the forehead between your eyes, and the back of your neck, that is what I was told, I am taking the hair vitamins from the GNC brand, as it has biotin in it as well.

@@Mateyena great! Just to let you, you're the one who encouraged me go for it, after watching your intitial video. lol I don't have hair loss or receding hairline but i had big forehead, Dr. Huebner literally reduced it by 1.5 inches, (3.9 centimeters) that's a HUGE difference.
