Hi everyone! Initially I didn't plan on going too hard on the Icarus video, because not that many people were interested, but... here we are, haha. I better start saving some energy for Fiona.. If anything updates, Ill post it here! For the triple Frost rotation, it's preferred to open with Alyss, so you can get the additional Alyss A1 benefit on Icarus's skill cast! It seems that the trait was changed from 50% shatter -> 45%, but not like you should use his trait anyway~

icarus may not be the most popular character, but i still think a ton of people will be really grateful for this deep dive into his weapon. watching a well-edited video is fun, for one, but i also think a ton of peopl will use this analysis video as the deciding factor on whether or not theyll pull for him. sure, not everyone likes his kit/weapon, but in Powercreep of Fantasy sometimes you kinda have to put personal bias aside for the sake of keeping up with the meta to deal damage in group content. thank you for your hard work

So based on this I can keep my hyperbody by having frigg alyss and icarus replace saki and only miss out on 13% dpm. being interrupted by the enemy probably eliminates the dpm difference.

Man...if I didn't want the 3.0 frost character, I wouldn't even consider Icarus and remain a volt main since my Fenrir comp will definitely still be stronger because of 3* Samir+Crow. May just get him in his rerun along with the 3.0 weapon if they synergize well, which most likely will be the case. Have to make sure I can afford Fiona and Rubilia.

Even thought Icarus is theoretically strong, and gives the Lin synergy, I am not getting him. He doesn't bring anything new to teams and is only good because of the damage "balancing" they are doing with Lan and Fenrir, so he will just get replaced by the next frost character. He's seems like Umi for physical, just flavour of the month type character. He isn't going to replace Saki in Fenrir rainbow comps, so it's just a no go all around except the damage until next frost character.

I suppose you're obligated to pull for the character in your chosen element whether you want them or not, especially if you're F2P and have no shot at playing anything else. But then you have altered and support roles because you can never function as DPS in multiplayer. The addition of A6 Lin in this scenario is confusing, even if you put aside the massive resource cost. If you're not paying, you're stuck rolling for A0 if you go for both. And others bring up the point that Fenrir blew the doors open and a character like Rubilia might be another giant leap that is punishing to those of us stuck on the outside looking in.

Here are my observations I’ve got both Icarus and Fenrir 3*, Alice 5*, Lin 6* and Saki 6*. Icarus matrice 4x, Alice matrice 4x and Lin 4x. Frost got 1.5k more attack. Fenrir Saki Lin does significantly more damage than Icarus Alice Saki. And yes I do all the cancels. Don’t pull for him if you can. Not worth the investment when we have a unit like FenFen. If you were a frost main pull for Fenrir, be happy and accept that Alice was a bad investment unless next Frost unit can replace Icarus

Icarus is good but i just finished my frost team with frigg saki alys and last i pulled fenrir for next rainbow cake im not plan remove any comp. Fill with other elements is maybe good choice since i don't wanna bored with that frost team

Thanks for your Information and hard work - your guides are helpful for this community. For myself, as an ex frost main, ill hard skip Ikarus, even when he would be OP. The real reasons for me are first the cost are way to high and second, the playstyle is very hard and unhealthy without a macro because we need to smash and click so fast that it hurts my hands. This is no fun at all to me.

I see it differently in that Fiona has like half a dozen skills, which multiplies the amount of combinations someone needs to try, multiplying the amount of rotations they gotta try.

I think the value of the shields by Icarus Fortitude comp only goes with Zero Matrices since having shields will up your party damage. aside from that, it really is worthless lmao 😂

I dont really know the answer to your question but keep in mind that in about a month you will be able to buy more frigg copies in the shop if you have the black gold required to do so

Icarus works quite well with Saki and Alyss, though a lot of the strength is capped by dupes. If you aren't too interested in him, you can probably grab Frigg A6 when she goes to Black Gold shop in 2.5 and wait to see how Fiona and 3.0 units turn out!

Nice video maygi, you always put most effort and detail to the video explaining how strong the simulacra was. i have an question here, should i pull for icarus? Currently i have a2 saki, a3 alyss, and a6 tsubasa, iam also had a1 Lin. Alyss, saki and icarus combo looks insane, should i pull it or should i save it for fiona, currently i have 24k DC and 120 RN. And on top of that i just want to verify here, a1 icarus equal with a6 frigg? That kinda piss me of because iam about to max out frigg once her come to the standart banner. And after all, what comps you suggest me to use? Because i have all the requirement like saki, alyss, Lin, frigg, even resource for pulling icarus, i just not sure what i have to pull because fiona are also come after icarus.

I wouldn't play Icarus in other type of teams than Frost, given that without Alyss/Frigg's hyperbody, Icarus is just too easy to interrupt. There is ofc also a Lan, but would that be really a good team...? Eventually, in Benediction team, you could use Lyra & her trait... but who realistically going to use him in benediction team.

I'd say that Ikarus is better Alyss seems to be good only at A1 (I mean she only synergize at A1) While Saki and Icarus can synergize very well (and with frost domain it's nice too) Icarus can trigger saki's reset so fast

@@frank-ti8qh It could be viable in an off-hand slot, but I wouldn't use it on Icarus himself because most of the damage is dealt while on him, so using on-field matrices is fine for that (also if you're going to buy any limited matrices, get Claudia, as Claudia 4p does wonders for Frost comp + Alyss)

Yep! It's not baked into the base calculator though (because it would feel a bit counter-intuitive for people to input their matrix-less stats), but I've thought about it...

Since you swap off every character within a couple seconds in a typical Icarus rotation, you won't ever get the time to stack up a Samir matrix - you're better off using Shiro/Crow, or other options such as Habo/Scylla!

Hihi! I would 2 Saki / 2 Lin on Alyss instead, if it fits - otherwise, I'd put Saki / Shiro on Saki, as Saki's shatter is strong and putting Shiro on her would help more. Habo on Icarus is fine!

A1 Saki would give you a very powerful team to work with, with minimal investment (to match said power, you'd have to pull A6 of something else) - definitely a strong and versatile pick up for now!

A3 is useful with saki reset, but if you plan to get fiona in the future, 4p matrices is more worth since you wont be spamming Desolate Day with her.

tested on cactus 1min 30 sec: c1Fuwa/C1Alyss with C3 Frigg deals 37m, with C0 Ikarus only 33m... straight downgrade. UPDATE. Retried with different matrix setups, C0 Ikar with ult cancel 37m, Frigg 34-36m. Also tried in friend`s account with c1Saki/C4Alyss and C6 Tsubasa (22m) -> C2Ikarus (40m)

saki alyss frigg are much easier to pull off because ikarus's comp need to jump cancel, can you confirm your 33m isn't a skill issue?
