Hi, is Math 6 going better as far as the amount of problems and time it is taking your son to complete a lesson? My daughter is in 3rd grade and we are trying TGTB Math to see if its a better fit than what we were using, but I'm concerned about the amount of problems and time to complete a lesson.

I actually just as switched my 6th grader 8 weeks ago to something new. I found he wasn't retaining any more. When I said, 'You have all the tools to answer these problems' he said, 'yes, but I don't know which tool to use when I need it!' I realized we needed to move to a more mastery program instead of spiral. We ended up switching him to CTC math.

We are! We are currently using it for 6th, 3rd and 1st grade math.

I have literally been spending hours upon hours looking at different Math curricula. I love TG&TB, and I was worried that my child wouldn't be getting a full curriculum in Math with TG&TB since we haven't entered Kindergarten, yet. I was debating what to do for Kinder and with your review, I decided that I can feel confident that this will work well for us. We work on different Math concepts and activities, now. I don't know why I've been so concerned, but I was. Now, I can rest easy with my decision to give TG&TB's Math a try. I can always supplement with fun math activities to solidify what we are learning along the way. I have manipulatives, so we will be good.
