People have far more armor than they do magic resist. You do not deal more damage with ult going AD. The only advantage of AD and the reason people buy it is because AP takes a lot longer to scale so you have a weaker early/mid. Full AP is still maximum damage, especially with magic pen making you deal near true dmg to anyone except tanks. The real difference is you deal 70-100% of 4k dmg going AP vs dealing 15-30% of 6k dmg going AD. Also, Kraken does a lot less damage than BORK first and it's not even close. My point isnt that AD is worse, it's very good, but that ultimate DMG is not the reason.
