Matthew Arnold:-- Born in 1822 and died in 1888 while chasing the train he fell and died of heart attack Best poet among the critic and best critic among the poet. Professor of poetry in oxford. Inspector of school for 35 years. Son of Thomas Arnold. Father of sociological criticism. One of the first modern critic. He said " poetry is better than relegion " He was a great feminist as well and he said " if all the woman come together for the betterment of mankind it will be the greatest force to serve the mankind" . He was a pessimist. Dover beach (1867). Famous quote " there are two different world one is dead and the other is powerless to be born ". He was the part of oxford movement. One of his famous work Empedocles in Etna. Litten stretchy celebrated four Victorians wiz Matthew Arnold, Florence Nightingale, Cardinal Manning and General Gordon. In thyrisis he has written for Arthur Hugh Claws . He has written scholar gypsy questioning the education system in Oxford University. He has coined the term touchstone method. Allen Tate was inspired by his touchstone method and written tension in poetry.

Sir... 🙏🙏... one suggestion... plz don't involved more in comment section during yr lecture... first you primarily give lectures randomly and again involvement in comment section which distract yr lecture from serialization, lucidity and balance, so it become difficult to understand. And also students are habituated to comment very irrevalent and very personal things which is not necessary. And it also breaks the spirit of the class. So sir plz minimize those things. If yr lecture will be serialised, pin pointed and lucid, then obviously it become more understandable, unique and universal.
