Without question, this is one of the best hunting videos I’ve ever watched. Intelligent, pushing the envelope, it’s what I’ve come to expect from Mathews.

Just made a 45 yr old Marine father of 4 cry..congratulations on making the best video I’ve seen anywhere. The passion and skill are what we were taught growing up in south Louisiana and what better way to save those memories for your kids than exactly what you did. I’ve been hunting elk in Colorado since ‘06 and while I have a bunch of good bulls with stories behind each, I never considered this format(for my boys and daughter). Thank you for opening my eyes! This is what a story looks like… it’s not the same old random person telling you what the wind is, what the temp is, what the pressure is, why they named a deer, etc etc…. Story telling has become a lost art in the outdoor industry. This story was exceptional!

Just started bowhunting 2 years ago at 54 years old after over 30 Fall Seasons on a football field. I love that this is a message to your children. This was a great video because it’s about the journey more than it is about the hunt. And thank you for showing Brett’s family praying together. Such an important part of his story even if it wasn’t a major part of the film. Bravo 🙏. Makes me proud to shoot Mathews

Maybe the best hunting video I have ever seen. It speaks to the pull of being a father and provider and the need to hunt. Excellent job!!

As a father of 3 kiddos, husband, child of God, and a very passionate bowhunter this is exactly how I'm trying to raise them. The struggle is real bc these values or way of upbringing doesn't exist everywhere around us today. I see how easy it is for a parent or society to lead our children down the wrong road vs doing what's right or putting in the work. I'm pretty sure NO one will ever be able to replicate a painting like this.. God bless

And that in itself is the fundamental problem with KZbin. It does not reward, suggest, nor promote quality like this video, and instead, prioritizes junk that fogs and confuses the minds of kids and other viewers alike. This video should have 2M views in 3 days. Its not just about hunting, its about life, kids, family, and sacrifices. Cheers on an incredible film and representing all aspects of life.

Absolutely incredible work by everyone involved, the Lord has blessed y’all with a storytelling gift. This is now one of my favorite films and I will definitely repeatedly watch this. Summed up the life I want to lead and touched my soul. The Chris Renzema song at the end was a cherry on top. Thank you for this masterpiece.

Fathering done right. I would spend good money just to shake Brett's hand in-person and tell him how much I respect him. Setting the example that, as a father, I can follow and hopefully emulate to my kids. Thank you, Mathews for a video that is truly one of a kind. I'm sure I'll watch this time and time again.

I’m a dad of 4 little boys. I will say this. You sir, are doing it right. It’s normal for us dads to doubt ourselves daily. That’s just a sign that you care, and want to do the right thing by your flesh and blood. It’s honorable, nothing more, nothing less. Congratulations on your children, and one heck of a story. Awesome stuff Mathews!

This is my first season hunting at age 41 (42 now since my bday was in Nov). I have a 6 year old daughter and a 1.5 year old son. I run a small business, my wife stays home and she supports me 100% with most wild ideas I have. Hunting has always been around me in some form. I didn’t grow up doing it but always appreciated those who did and what they got from it. When I told my wife I’d like to start she was all in knowing the amount of time I’d dedicate to being the best I could be. Every weekend she asks if I’ve made my route and planned where I’ll set up the stand. I haven’t seen but one freaking deer…but, I love being in nature and I love coming home to talk about it with my family. I hope it’s something I can pass down to my children. Do something hard, be patience, and repeat. Great video.

I never thought I would cry after a hunting film, this film pushed everything into perspective that at the end of the day you have one life to live. I’ve never been more excited for what lays ahead in my life, no matter the challenge or situation I’m so excited for it all and then one day pass it on.

Wow! That was maybe the best hunting story I have ever watched. At the end of the day its not about shooting the biggest elk but rather seeing a quest you started through to fruition. I can't give enough kudos to everyone who made this. This is the kind of content we as hunters need to be promoting... Family, Commitment and doing things the right way.... "I'm asking for you blessing not your permission".

How awesome is that. I can tell, you two, you and your son are going to make an amazing team one day sir. Love it. With a wife that backs your play, you two will make so many memories. I cherish and miss the times I had hunting with my dad, we learned together. miss those days. Congrats young man, I love it and thank you so much for sharing this story with us. Look forward to seeing what you and your son end up doing. I know it will be big. God Bless you and your family. Have a merry Christmas and enjoy the holidays sir. Dale
