3:24 I can relate to this. Nothing more frustrating. Back in 2018, I had an experience that completely changed how I do business. An up-and-coming artist’s new promoter hit me up a month after their video went live on KZbin, asking me to take it down. Complaint was about lighting. This artist had no prior interviews letting people know he exists. If you knew how much effort went into planning the interview, making that video, you'd understand why this impacted me. I wanted to help smaller-town artists get love from the London scene, so I made the journey-5 hours in traffic to get there, 5 hours to get back. The artist had promised a location was booked, but when I arrived, he was scrambling. He finally took us to a random music studio, and we ended up doing the interview in the lobby... with a light that randomly turned off 🤦🏾‍♂️. To make matters worse, I had a camera that wasn’t suited for low light and a basic mic. I spent hours editing the footage when I got back, making it as good as possible. I even checked in with the artist to make sure everything was cool before the video went live. And then-just a month later-I'm asked to take it down. The tone was wild as well, but out of resepct for the artist, and the integrity of my platform, I deleted it. I could have kept it online, but was never trying to build that kind of rep for the brand. That experience sucked, but improved everything I do.
